Against my natural instincts I have traded out Grundy (for Reeves) which pretty much guarantees his return in round 15. Holders can thank me later.

Also gone Boak over Duncan mainly due to price difference. I only post this so I can justifiably head over to the rant thread when Mitch goes massive and Trav goes passive.

Fyfe > Duncan (wanted Guthrie and will probably live to regret it)
Rowe > reeves
Rcd > Parish (time to have some fun)
JordOn > Whitfield

19 on the field this week

350k in the kitty to try and get close to 18 next week
Nice trades.

I am tossing up what to do with my 4th trade this week, if anything at all, and would appreciate some feedback.

11 trades left for the season.

My team is:
D6: Short
M8: Cripps
R2: Nic Nat
F4: Daniher with rookies at F5, F6

$200k in bank

R13: Currently 20 playing
R14: Hopefully 15 playing before trades

A: Sit and do nothing
B: McCluggage to Jelly. McC has had his POD value, had two poor scoring games, slingshot him on with high BE. Gives 21 playing this week, but no added value next week. McC may continue to be a strong POD?
C: Cripps to Jelly. Same playing numbers as above. Moves on my weakest mid but low BE means he might be worth keeping until after the byes?
D: Short to Jelly. Reduces my team to 19 this week but increases it to 16 next week before trades. Makes Cripps M9 so could hold him there or sideways him to upgrade a forward or defender in R15?

Do any of the above appear to be a no brainer?

A. The other 3 are all sidewaying a fit premium, not too keen on that.

Personally I can’t see a lot of appeal in B or D given your descriptions. A may be okay, but given your trade position I think you can probably afford one semi-upgrade.

Cripps to a proper premium is probably the best way to go (and having recently mapped out a trade plan, is now what I’m likely to do myself).

definately A. The rest is a waste of trade with little upside.
2nd option would be D. Jelly playing this week so would keep you at 20 whilst improving you to 16 next week... Short has a break even of 95 from memory ....

Yes .. not sure why I said D would reduce this weeks numbers ... seniors moment ... they seem to be happening too frequently lately!

Impey, Daniher, Heeney.

Byes aside, who's scoring the least of these 3 'keepers' from now until seasons end?

I need to move one of them to CCJ this week to fund my other moves. Daniher feels the least premium but their draw is fantastic and his role is really good, think he could be a nice little Hawkins-Lite sitting at F6 for the year.

For Heeney the body is always the worry but I only got him last week.

Interested in some thoughts from all you guys.
Thinking of trading Zorko but wondering who to?
Options -
Aaron Hall, already had his bye
Toby Green, already had his bye, but seems injury prone.
Others yet to have their bye include Sidebottom and Tom McDonald, can't see the point in these guys when they will still miss their bye.
All averaging around the 90's
Is there anyone else to consider??
Brought in Hawkins for Warner before last night's game and was very happy with that move.

Can't for the life of me rationalise people trading out Zorko, Oliver, Grundy etc.

These guys are locks to be in the top few in their position. Let's say you are 3 upgrades from having a full, ultra premo team... You want to trade out one of your best players, so you're suddenly now left with 4 upgrades to make to finish your team, with less trades? Seems crazy to me, just to make an extra body for next week when everyone is struggling anyway.

It's very slim pickings. I would hold and cop a donut. If you don't want to do that, wait until next week for Dale. If you don't want to do that Toby Greene and have cover.
I'm considering setting up a very complex structure in my forwards and rucks where I can loop Toby, CCJ and Treacy. I just wish I was smart enough to work out how to do it!

You can go Zorko to someone like Hall for example, pocket $100k, have someone who is actually playing the next two weeks and with the cash injection, facilitate another upgrade of a rookie to a premo this week, so essentially you're gaining two extra playing premos this round. If going for overall, it's a decent strategy to maximize points production over a period where you're not getting any production from $600k for two weeks (especially relevant for round 14 where an extra playing premo could be the difference between that score and a 0).

Thinking of a double upgrade next week - Macrae and one of the following.

Would someone be able to tell me who you'd choose out of these guys:
Merrett, Neale, Wines, Walsh?

Will have money and can afford Lyon and Guthrie also (but seeing Duncan get affected by Danger yesterday worries me)

The rest of my midfield will be Bont Macrae Oliver Steele Cripps Kelly Titch

My thought on trading Zorko, is that he misses the next 2 games, has close to topped out at over 600k, with Neil back in the team, I think he drops points and $$$. Trading him to another forward, pockets $100k +
And plus we have been gifted an extra trade this week.

I get that. But I also want Zorko in my team for the last 8 rounds. There are so few forwards that are proper premiums this year. Everyone has Ziebell... I think you can add Zorko, Danger and Dusty - and throw a blanket over the rest. In such a weak field, I definitely want those three.
