Might be some interest yet

India 5/130 at Lunch , lead by 98

Jadeja & Pant at the wicket

Do they try and get a 200+ lead and see if they make it enticing enough for the Black Caps to have a crack at it and risk being knocked over ?
Oh yes, getting very interesting now!

NZ aren’t silly, I reckon they’re much better placed to press with the bat than India were. Could still go any way though.

Jadeja went quickly , so 1-2 more quick ones could put them in the box seat (I have no idea what the pitch is doing though)

Was saying to a kiwi mate that the situation reminded me a little of the Amazing Adelaide test with the amount of time left and the score line.

India simply went into their shell which allowed them to be run over by the NZ bowlers. A lot of tentative strokes at the top followed by panicked batting by the middle/lower order as they realised they needed to get something on the board.

Was special to see Taylor and Williamson out there for the winning runs as well.

I'd like to see all Test Champioship games played on neutral soil, or perhaps one home, one away and one neutral over the four year period. England v Australia in Dehli, South Africa v India in Perth, etc.

Probably hard to do with contracts, but it would be awesome to see how teams combat the grounds/pitches as neutrals.

The pinnacle of cricket

What a game!

Dad (82), who played senior club cricket in Wellington for 20 years, hated Australia for nearly 40 years due to the fact Australia decided not to play NZ for 25 yrs after NZ's poor performance in 1946.
NZ was rolled for 42 & 54.

Everyone came to watch The Don - but I think The Don came to watch the horses (maybe:ROFLMAO:).

It was early 1980's when Dad forgave Australian Cricket - and although we are now Australians - NZ Cricket is who we will always support first.
Now he selects cricketers years in advance (nz and aus players) from the couch , of course this between all other cricket and the NRL.

He says this would be the best thing in NZ cricketing history, the 2nd, winning their first game in 1956.

The band is back together

First time Bravo , Gayle , Pollard & Russell have played together in 6 years.

Hopefully they all remain for the T20 World Cup , will be a dangerous , exciting team

Not sure if Narine will return as well

Schedule for the next WTC released.

Once again only the 9 participants who will play 6 series (3 Home , 3 Away) with series of varying lengths.

Australia to play :-

Home v England (5) , South Africa (3) , West Indies (2)

Away v India (4) , Pakistan (2) , Sri Lanka (2)

Big 3 the winners again , number of tests

Australia 18 ( Home 10 , Away 8)
Bangladesh 12 (6 , 6)
England 22 (11 , 11)
India 19 (9 , 10)
New Zealand 13 (6 , 7)
Pakistan 13 (7 , 6)
South Africa 15 (7, 8)
Sri Lanka 13 (6 , 7)
West Indies 13 (7 , 6)

Not sure how they expect Afghanistan , Ireland & Zimbabwe to develop and improve if they continually exclude them.

Either introduce a second division and go 7-5 or bring back the Intercontinental Cup and include the likes of Bermuda , Canada , Hong Kong , Kenya , Namibia , Netherlands , Oman , PNG , Scotland , USA etc that have participated in the past.
