Don't get me wrong, I think it should be Ussie too, I just can't shake the feeling his card's been marked.
I think you are absolutely 100% correct . love to know the "real" reason why Khawaja is/was on the outer.

Maybe JL brings back his love child in Bancroft.

I think Pucovski is hoping to play the next Shield game, whether that is enough preparation though for the 1st test.

Looking ahead to the T20 2022 World Cup

* The twelve teams that reach the Super 12 phase of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup will automatically qualify for the 2022 tournament.
* They will be joined by the top two teams from each of the two Global Qualifiers

Global Qualifiers will have 16 teams consisting of :-

Ireland , Netherlands , Oman & PNG
the next four highest ranked T20I sides (Zimbabwe , Nepal , the UAE and Singapore)
and the eight teams that progress from the Regional Finals.

Africa (Nov 15-21) = 1
Americas (Nov 7 - 14) = 2
Asia Group A (Oct 23 - 29) = 1
Asia Group B (cancelled) = Hong Kong
East Asia Pacific (cancelled) = Philippines
Europe (Oct 15-21) = Jersey & Germany
Bahrain advance from Asia Group A
