With the AFL draft next week, Rookie Me Central have put together the most comprehensive rookie pdf guide I have ever come across - amazing amount of work has gone into it. Thought I would post it here for easy reference if wanting to check up on some potential rookies for next season, feel free to move it to a more applicable thread :-

Legend.
Where does the lad Ben Hobbs end up. Surely a top 10. Does FREO have him in there sights.

It looked like this will be a better draft group than last years from what I saw tonight. There should be a few reasonable SC rookies among them. Seemed to be a couple of more speculative picks later on tonight based on pre-draft rankings, probably due to clubs trying to fill list gaps rather than picking the best players available.

I was happy with the Hawks selection of Ward, he was the one I hoped they would pick out of those they were looking at. They also have two of the next 6 picks, so hopefully they can add another couple of good players too. I know there's a few who were expected to be selected tonight still available I don't mind the look of, probably plenty of other good choices too.

They could do the draft in a quarter of the time though, so annoying seeing the clubs sitting there doing nothing for 2-3 mins every time when they have obviously already picked. Only 20 picks in about 90 mins - could have easily done that round in 15 mins max.

Can’t believe Matt Johnson is still available …

Still can’t comprehend WCE passing on him, exactly what we needed
I'm in shock.... like a lot of West Coast supporters.

Our recruiters still refuse to acknowledge the glaring need for young midfielders to replace our current crop. Johnson would have been perfect.

It's so West Coast to reach and draft another Half Back Flanker in the hope of turning him into a midfielder... whilst ignoring pure midfielders like Hobbs & Johnson.

Hoping Freo pick him up with the first pick (we don't need any more mids) so we can snap up Sam Butler.
I hope West Coast try trade with Freo for pick 21 to take Johnson using that 2022 Port 2nd Round pick we got last night... Can't see it happening though.

If Freo take Johnson... I think they have completely nailed this draft with Amiss, Erasmus & Johnson.

Rangy outside midfielder who can play half back or half fwd.

Followed by Rhett Bazzo at pick 37 - 194cms/ 81kg defender who reads the play well.

So WCE have not addressed their contested ball winning issues, no young inside midfielders taken so far.

A tall winger who's apparatly more an athlete than natural footballer.

I'm pretty deflated at our draft haul. The Eagles message boards are in Meltdown.

Nothing against the kids we drafted themselves... I'm sure they are great kids. But we are desperate for young midfielders and we have monkeys running our recruiting department. Completely failing to address our needs.

Bazzo a good pick... but won't play for years as we have Gov, Barrass and young Harry Edwards ahead of him as key defenders.

WC trade future 4th rounder for pick 62, then get Clarke, then pass on the next pick. We're they that worried that Port would pick him? Just wasted a future 4th.
