I think the key is not to get too attached to players in your team ;)

BBL is much different to normal AFL SC the ability to 'upgrade' bench players is much more difficult unless you really get a bolter like MShort or may be Couch more so MShort due to such high and quick price increase.

I think if you identify a player on a DGR that you 'must have' it is often a case of get them in no matter who you need to trade out, at least that is how I approach BBL SC, which is different to AFL SC.

The problems are really going to come when you are trying to get both Wade and DShort for the hurricanes DGR as both players are likely to be 190k plus, so it might be worth ditching a MMarsh this week and getting one now at 162k for Wade, MMarsh is not likely to have a significant price movement this week (not going to go up beyond 150k) whereas Wade could well be $180k plus after this week.

The other problem of course is that several Stars palyers whom have post significant $ losses and will continue to loose $. It may be a case that one needs to trade a Curran to one of DShort/Wade at their DGR, but unless you have a significant $ bank you are not going to be able to do a DreRuss/Maxy/Stoinis to Wade/DShort.

I was going to get MMarsh in this week for Kerr, but may do Garton to Wade this week. I know it is a big call to commit to Wade 3-4 rounds out, but if you want him for the DGR might be better to pay 162k now rather than 190k+ in 2 weeks.
I was thinking about exactly the same trade!

Garton to Wade, get M Marsh next round?

This will burn a few, myself included
This after Saker said Finch should be available for the next game last night. If he misses many more games they may as well give him the rest of the tournament off too because they won't be going anywhere. Supposed best bowling attack in the comp and they're 1/3 after playing the two worst sides on paper.

Yeah, I think if you want Wade for his DGR in round 6, now might be the time to get him.

Unless you think Marsh is going to go mega high this week, he wont go up much in price and will be able to be got for a Maxy/DreRuss next week, I'm not sure the same could be said for Wade

Wade as a BE of -8 if he gets 46 he will go up 14k to $176k, but if he goes higher he could be 190-200k plus in 2 weeks before his DRG and I suspect DShort may be around the same price which could make getting them both in for the DGR a bt tricky.

Of course Wade and DShort could go badly in coming weeks and it would all be for nothing, history and form would suggest that anythig could happen.

Wade was on my trade-in list for this round, but a combination of his price rise and falling prices on the players I'm trading out means he is out of reach.

I fear my only hope is if he has a couple of poor/average games and his price stabilizes I might still be able to get him in for his DGR.

Yeah Wade's an interesting one, I said at the start of the season that if everyone were available R1 and there were no doubles I'd start Inglis and Wade. Then Inglis got called up and Wade was carrying an injury (probably also still something to monitor!)

My personal view, and there's a bit of sticking my neck out going on here, is that Mitch Marsh will be the #1 player in the game by season's end, and to that end I am absolutely not going without him. If Wade ends up more expensive by round 5 I'll cop that.

I'm not disputing that MMarsh is nearly a must trade in, my point was if you want Wade for his double then now might be the time to get him before his currnet price gets higher. MMarsh will be coming in for me, whether its this week or next is the only deciding factor.
My only concern given how much the 3 stars could lose this week, Maxy/DreRuss/Stoinis, if you want to get both Wade and DShort in for thier double, it might be somewhat dificult if they are both 190k each by round 6.

That is just me thinking out-loud, FWIW I don't know what I'm doing with my last trade this week
