Hatz picked over Kelly a surprise but with Mills now in the team he takes over as the Scorchers death bowler along with Tye.

Banners & Hardie were always the most likely to make way for when Inglis & Marsh returned, Patterson in such great form in the first game I think made it very hard to leave him out/ deserves a chance at the top of the order.
Not a big surprise for me as Mitch Marsh is actually the one who stuffed Kelly’s chances of playing rather than the other seamers.

Scorchers have 4 seam options and 2 spin options now which is ideal in T/20 cricket. Pretty confident that Marsh will bowl at least 2 overs tonight though.

I think Mills was the main factor, hes a death bowler and Kelly can't do any other role, was never getting picked over Tye and Behrendorff.

I'm still not sure whether I should take Stoins VC or go with MMarsh C

Ill probably go with MMarsh because of how bad my ranking is and I need something to put me back in the game
Personally I’d go Stoinis without too much thought. A 31 point headstart is pretty handy in my view.

There’s a case to have selected Kelly over Hatzoglou on a seamer friendly wicket. Having Marsh in the team makes it easier for the scorchers to just cover all potential matchups by selecting the leg spinner. He’ll be the first one to miss out on overs should Marsh bowl.
