That’s very unlucky mate.

Had Hobart batted first, or I had enough cash that Wade vs Marsh involved the same outs, I may well have gone the same way. I think it was very close overall, before the event.

On balance you'll get as many of these right as you do wrong over the year. It just stings that little bit more in this game when the swing is that big!

Not a good week to have a heap of WKP as I do.

Billings + Gilkes + Harper + Wade + Bancroft + Clarke + Peirson + Nielsen = 66 so far.

My 3 trade ins: Maxwell (C) + Russell + Marsh = 395 so far.

At least I've got something right I guess.

Does anyone know the average SC score for Marsh in his first match of each BBL season? He seems to always start a season well which is why I made sure to choose him this week. Very glad I did!

Scores are mainly guesses.
2009/10 = 3 off 10, DNB, 1 catch = 13
2011/12 = 35 off 35, 4-0-25-0, = 51
2013/14 = 57 off 35, 1-0-17-0, = 83
2015/16 = 1 off 2, 2-0-16-0, 1 catch = 14
2016/17 = 31 off 19, 1-0-11-0, 1 catch = 67
2017/18 = 3 off 5, 4-0-53-0, 1 catch = 17
2018??? = 3 off 5, DNB, = 3
2019??? = 32 off 33, DNB, = 32
2020??? = 17 off 18, DNB, 1 catch = 27

It looks like Marsh averages around 34 in game of the BBL.

I'm afraid you're wrong on that. But I'm happy it's worked out well for you.
M Marsh first matches:
2020-21: 27 - 17/18 and no overs
2019-20: 34 - 32/33 and no overs
2018-19: 3 - 3/5 and no overs
It's why I didn't start with him or bring him in. I thought that no matter how good his form at the WC and with Australia A he'd take a little time to gear up for the BBL.

His darts I think would of been a better choice, Short was always a massive risk v Marsh if he got it wrong.

I always thought I’d do alright as a BBL captain. Just a shame I don’t play well enough!
