Former Australian Test cricketer Michael Slater will appear in court today after allegedly breaching an apprehended violence order.
Police arrested the 51-year-old about 7.45am today at West Promenade, Manly, following their investigation into a reported breach of the order.
Slater was taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic), use carriage service to menace/harass/offend, and breach of bail.
He was refused bail and is awaiting a mention before Manly Local Court today.
Slater first faced the courts in October with police alleging he used his mobile phone to menace, harass or offend his former partner between March and October this year.
He was alleged to have stalked or intimidated the woman at Randwick in Sydney’s eastern suburbs between noon on October 12 and noon on October 13.
An AVO was also taken out by the police against Slater on behalf of his former partner.
