Well think i’m treating tomorrow’s Sixers v Gades game as a washout. Otherwise I will miss someone from Strikers/Thunder who I otherwise would have taken

Don’t forget the trade loophole can very much be your friend in this circumstance.

Use a Star to get someone you want tonight and if they turns out to be unaffected you can bring them back in for somebody else tomorrow who doesn’t play tonight without it costing you another trade. You can also do it in reverse by trading out a non-Star but then bring them back in tomorrow if the Star you held is affected.

Just make sure you keep a trade up your sleeve otherwise you won’t be able to do either.

But for some reason, as an example, the Stars and Scorchers are a go for tomorrow.

I could trade Marsh > Maxy, and effectively, that'll only be 1 trade done?

Gut feel is they get through tonights game and pause the season to be honest, just too many hoops to jump through for the competition to keep going and actually be deemed fair for all participants.

If I go Stoinis to Siddle, I have enough for Hughes to Dwarshuis, but that weather forecast is messing with my head. I love Dwarshuis, I think he represents much better value for money than Abbott

From I’m seeing there’s two trains of thoughts

Those trading all their Stars/Scorchers guns and bringing in the big dogs like Abbott, McDermott etc

And those benching Stars/Scorchers and settling for cheaper options off the bench like Renshaw, Siddle, Gilkes, Weatherald etc

Only time will tell what the correct path was

Not mad for Siddle but yes for Weatherald. Too much exposure to a weak batting lineup and I would prefer the likes of Garton or Khan rather than more than two Strikers batters.

i'd take siddle in a heartbeat over any of the others listed, bowling to a covid depleted thunder, he's cheap, and has a double coming up, and has a history of scoring decent points. weatherald is probably a bit much given renshaw, wells, nielson though

If they pause for a week, there will be a whole lot of SC implications for consideration.
Players that were previously available will be leaving earlier (game wise).
Also CA were looking to finish before the end of the school holidays, so would they compress the schedule to still fit it all in by the 28th?

I normally look 2-3 rounds ahead when doing my trades , but everything might be stopped by then so who knows what is going to happen ?

Are you going to the game ? I guess they are still having spectators.

Hard to fault those trades. Deciding on the final trade of either Marsh>McDermott or Agar>Billings, since im holding four Stars on the bench and can’t fit both Scorchers.

Surely i do the Marsh>Macca?? Marsh with a huge BE and Macca at -999 BE, its probably a swing of $100k right there.

Or am I just chasing centuries again?
