V on Sams softens the blow of a disappointing night a little. Will take MShort’s 37. I have Neilson’s 23 and Garton’s 14 sitting on the bench with the E and 2 trades up my sleeve.

No doubt I will torture myself over how to use those 2 trades over the next 16 hours before I inevitably arrive at the wrong decision.

Yet to play: D Short, M Wade, N Ellis, S Lamichhane, C Lynn, M Ur Rahman, D Christian (new recruit) and S Abbott (new recruit and C).

Solid start by all but alas no NYE special from R Khan. No worries as captaincy duties now fall to new recruit Abbott to prove his worth.
