163k is a lot to shell out for a bat only player, but if you are happy to ride a couple of potential failures to enjoy some price rises and have another number for round 10 then go for it.

I wouldn’t be breaking your team just to get him in though.

Yep, my plan is to bring in Cartwright, Clarke and Munro. I already have Maxwell. Clarke in for Gilkes is an easy decision, I just have to decide on my other two trades.

Feels so very silly trading out Macca after missing his huge double and trading him in for a duck. Its the only way to get any value from my trades though since Zampa + Stoinis are worth a ham sandwich these days.

Really stuck whether I should even target this round (already have Maxwell, Clarke) or just bring in cheapies Weatherald + Davies for the next two DGWs instead. Would give my 8 and 11 double gamers

Right, set and done. I did have to trade McDermott out unfortunately. With a huge BE, hopefully he flops in Rd 9 and I can get him back cheaper in Rd 10, especially with the massive negative BE of all my trade ins, Cartwright, Munro and Clarke.

Interesting - the thread with BE projections, which has been super accurate in my experience so far, has his BE at 106.

I definitely trust Tails over whatever the hell SC has got. His DGW scores are 172 and 175 so any confusing effect from them should be minimal. Price to average around 90 so should be 270 in 3 games, take away a 170-odd and a 0, leaves about 100.

Not that it matters this round of course because they're on the bye!

I have 5 Merridith over Rogers.

Will probably trade Short, Wade and Merridith/Ellis this week.

Wade and Short are at reasonable prices to get back in for DGR, McD is not.

Plus I have 91k in bank before any trades this week so can get Maxwell from Short without cash needed from other trades.

There is no way I would be able to get McD for his DGR if I traded him out now.
