A pretty good effort from Crone and O’Connell. 0/34 (4) combined, which was better than Maxwell, and more economical than Rauf and Coich, plus a catch and a run out to O’Connell.

I didn’t see it, but it seems they’ve acquitted themselves pretty well, especially in the circumstances.

Less to do with his last up efforts and more the role of batting 3 and bowling plenty. Clarke could beat him but maxi definitely the smart play.

In hindsight, it might be an absolute blessing that all these guys got their chance at a suburban ground. Changes as little as possible for them, there's none of the mystique of the MCG for example (or the swirling wind they always talk about in there). Only real thing that changes is the ball comes down a bit faster and a few more people cheer it on.
