Some likely missing next week:
NFC:
Packers have #1 seed and bye; given Rogers' injured toe he'll probably miss; maybe Adams, Jones as well but as they have the bye GB might play them half a game
Rams and Cardinals will both make the post-season but need to win next week to win their division. As they play at the same time neither is likely to rest players.
TB and Dallas have won their divisions but won't get the bye so it depends on whether they want the #2 seed and so play the worst wild card team - likely to rest everyone.
Philly have a wild card spot but the team they play in that wild card game is undecided - would they prefer to play TB or one of the Rams/Cards?
SF and NO need to win to clinch a wild card spot.

AFC:
Either Chiefs or Titans could get the #1 seed and bye if they win. If both win the Titans get it - and considering they play Houston are likely to.
The Bengals have clinched their division but would need to win and have both the Titans and Chiefs to lose to get the #1 seed. They'll probably rest players.
Either Bills or Pat.s could win the AFC East. If both win the Bills get it (they are home to the Jets) and the Pats get the wild card. iirc Belichick doesn't rest players unless they are carrying an injury.
Any of Indy, LA Chargers, Baltimore, LV and Pittsburgh could get the wild card but it's most likely to be Indy (at Jacksonville) and whichever team wins out of the Chargers v Raiders. None of these teams is likely to rest players.

After a break, a summary:
Most likely to rest: GB, TB, Dallas, Philly, Cincinnati
May rest: NE,

I read recently that people had criticized Bellichick for drafting a QB, Mac Jones, who wasn't much of a runner.
It got me thinking: how many teams have won the SuperBowl with a dual-threat QB?
i.e. a QB who is as much of a threat with their running as with their passing, e.g. Lamar.

Off the top of my head I can only think of one in recent memory: SB XLVIII - Wilson won with the Seahawks
The winners who aren't: Brady, Mahomes, Foles, P Manning, Flacco, E Manning, Rodgers, Roethlisberger etc etc
That's going back to 2002-3 when the Buccs won with a strong defense, Gruden's inside knowledge of the Raiders and a game manager QB.

It's got me wondering: how long will the current obsession (in certain quarters) with dual-threat QBs last?

I've been somewhat distracted by BBL SC the last couple of weeks. Not spent enough time thinking through my team.
e.g. I knew Cousins wasn't going to play and I knew Burrows was in form but did I think of benching Jefferson and fielding Chase?

Of course I didn't.

Echo the sentiment from @Ironhawk on congratulations to @Foxy's Fe-Lions and @kennychao for their superb debut season. Take it from me that it all goes downhill afterwards. :ROFLMAO:

😂😂😂 I’m weak - loving the vibe all round

Appreciate being part of the fun, and I look forward to next season (with some more knowledge gained throughout this year)

Honestly wouldn’t have been half as invested if it wasn’t for the SCS community here. The NFL group feels different to the standard SC community, probably simply due to the NFL group being more select / tight-knit.

Once again, thanking all for making it possible for first season rookies aka myself & @Foxy's Fe-Lions somehow be able to make it through to this point of the season and enjoy it for what it was. It’s been fun!

Perfect fill-in for the SC off season. Can’t believe it’s Jan already - ready for another season of SC

Would like to echo the sentiments of @kennychao in thanking everyone in the NFL group for the support and advice provided to newbies like @kennychao and myself and for the general sense of camaraderie within this group.

I found the same with the SCS F1 group this year and am always amazed at the level of knowledge that some members have with respect to these sports and their willingness to share their knowledge and their time for the benefit of all members. I had never watched a game of NFL before this season started (still haven’t ever watched a full game) but feel like the knowledge shared by this group at least gave me a chance to be competitive (in a fantasy context) - still have absolutely no idea about the nuances (or likely even many of the basic aspects) of the real game! 🤣

I would strongly encourage anyone who might be contemplating joining this group next year (and even those who might not be!) 😁 not to hesitate in doing so. I almost didn‘t join this season due to my absolute lack of understanding with respect to anything NFL related but was encouraged by the knowledge that there would be plenty of support from SCS members and I most certainly was not disappointed! It’s been fantastic fun and I’ll definitely be back for another crack next year - with the full expectation that I’ll finish somewhere well outside of the top 1,000! 😉

Thanks again to everyone and best of luck with achieving as high a rank as possible this year and also with planning your team for next year.
