Sixers named a Squad of 14 including Hughes.

Bird , Murphy & Pope missed out on the XI.

Why are they then allowed a LRP (Carder) to replace Hughes when he failed his fitness test.

Shouldn't they have been made to use one of Bird , Murphy & Pope instead ? 🤔

Poor list management that they don't have spare batsmen , Philippe (replaced by Lenton) & J Edwards (Covid , could understand Carder replacing him and then being named in the Squad).

Strange decision , pointless actually naming a Squad then if they can just use a LRP.

If Henriques/Silk don't get up for Friday do they then just get 1-2 LRP batsmen ?

And it’s a rematch of last year’s grand final.

Should be a great game if a couple of Sixers put their hands up to cover the outs again.
I believe Fox Sports said they only have 12 available to choose from. Definitely stretching their resources and will be humongous if they win the final.

Great innings by Kerr.

think my 79 year old mum would have made the stumping off the first ball & caught the one that Renshaw dropped when he was on 16.
I have a pet dog (Kelpie) that could have executed those pays better ...

- Doesn't need to be miked up , never distracted etc ... just a Snacko treat for a usual job well done ...

- Spends most of his days just waiting for someone to toss the ball at him ...
- Rarely ever misses and will go all day ..

Looking forward to seeing these local replacement players in action next season.

Its bull**** how Sixers can just manipulate the rules as they are, they had a 18 man squad and contracted a ridiculous amount of bowlers and only one keeper should now be made to pay for their list management decisions.
The sixers could probably play with 8 or 9 with 2 or 3 just as fielders. Kerr, Lyon, Abbott, Dwarsh, Christian to bowl. Kerr Avendano Henriques Christian Abbott Dwarsh to bat. All are arguably good enough to be top 6 bats. If they get Smudge in they'd be laughing. But I agree they clearly didn't have enough batting depth in the squad to begin with.

Go the Sixers!!
Massive win to get into the final considering how many players are missing or injured.
The Scorchers are at another level and deserved faves but you never know..........

Sixers have made another request for Smudge to be added to the LRP pool for tomorrow's night final.

I guess a lot of their local players are on big $$$ , bizarre they didn't sign another OS to replace Jordan (obviously realised he was only here for 5 games) and again for TC when he got injured.

EDIT forgot about Shadab , still could have used a 6th OS signing

That’s disappointing… you want have the best players in action & having Smith play would add to the spectacle- even though I want the scorchers to win, I want the Sixers to have their best possible side for the final with all their injury issues.
Mitch Marsh set to play but batting only/ no bowling, looks good running around yesterday.

The Perth Scorchers have moved to lock into two more of their key players on long-term deals, with Ashton Agar and Aaron Hardie both extending their stays with the club.

Agar has signed a three-year deal taking him through to BBL|14, while allrounder Hardie has signed on for another two summers.

The 28-year-old Agar has been outstanding in BBL|11 after being dropped from Australia's T20 playing XI during their World Cup run last November, with 17 wickets at 21.71 and an economy of 6.83, while also contributing 118 runs at a strike-rate of 147.50.

👏👏👏
