Main thing I don't like is Dawson at D5 with interrupted preseason - and it is bad for my bye structure too - but don't like any of the options I can afford and tinkering (Sicily, down to J Smith, etc.) leads me down too many garden paths that I don't like the look of. Suggestions welcome.

wow that is a fun looking team although the injury risk looks very hectic! I don't have the guts to push it this far but I look forward to seeing how you go!

You need at least 1 gun mid for C, Macca, Steel, Miller. I Wouldn't be relying on your other options for this.

You are demonstrably better at this than I am, but I am quite surprised to see your midfield! The top guys are $1m and your M2 is $600k 🙂

Are you thinking that the extra trades will allow a more mid priced approach to win out?

Yes, I think so.

I also think a lot of the rookies will be particularly bad in this format, and that those midprice guys will make more cash than them.

And Crouch is too good a DT player to pass up for the price.

Suspect @madmunza is right that I've pushed it a step too far and should have at least squeezed in Macrae, but couldn't seem to make it work in a way I liked.

I’m catching up on my DT side (one lockout at a time!) but did find that the rookies and low priced cash cows from SC thinned out a fair bit when you took out those that likely wouldn’t have DT-favourable roles.

I think the early indications would be that those five trades could be handy for Covid cover, but equally I suspect the winner will be someone who uses them more offensively, and avoids some bad luck with player availability.

I don't think Covid changes that much, to be honest. Obviously we will be dealing with more outs (including late outs) but the principles of trading are the same. It's far more valuable to use trades to upgrade early, and to build good, flexible cover into your team, than it is to use trades haphazardly to cover individual outs. It's rarely justified to trade a player for a 1-2 week injury and I don't think the fact we're going to be getting more of those kind of outs changes that principle.

Definitely agree that means riding our luck to some extent, but I think that's the only real way to play.
