Kung didn’t go quite as well as I hoped, but still did well enough as captain.

He’s straight out for Asgreen and Alaphilippe is out for Carapaz to secure as many bonus points as possible.

Big Cav captain hoping for the fairytale ending to the tour as well.

Just catching up last nights result. So Wout Van Aert won 3 stages for the tour; a mountain stage, a time-trial and a sprint stage. Pretty impressive effort. I don’t recall anything like that while I have been interested but suspect it has happened before by somebody like Eddy Merckx.

After capitalising on a breakaway spot last season (4th), I am now back to where I rightfully belong at the rear of the group (16th) facing successive mountain stages. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks to all for another great season, especially @Beg2Differ for his brilliant work with the scoring and ownership tables.

For anyone interested, what I consider to be one of the best one day races each year is being held this weekend. The Paris-Roubaix women's race is on tonight at 10:30 PM on SBS Viceland, the men's race is on tomorrow night starting at 9:00 PM on the same channel.

Not sure if anyone is watching, but it's a wet race today (and yesterday, but I missed the women's race). Wet weather and cobblestones means their will almost certainly be quite a few crashes. Hopefully no serious ones.

It's always a tough race, but when it's wet, it is brutal conditions. Should be good viewing.

Edit: It was brutal conditions. Well worth watching a replay / highlights if you missed it. First time it has been wet at the race for nearly 20 years, all the riders were covered in mud by the end.

That really sucks. :(

In better news for Ineos, and Aussie cycling, some of you may have caught the national titles just over a week ago, but for those who didn't, Luke Plapp who just signed with Ineos this year won the Australian national title at 21 years old in his first race for the team. He looks like he could be a gun, he won the race pretty easily. One to keep an eye on in the next few years.

Not sure if anybody is following the Giro d'Italia, however there is an Australian leading, and he is looking a near certain chance to be our first ever winner of this race. Jai Hindley (who has previously finished 2nd overall in the Giro) has a 1:25 lead with just a final 17.4km time trial to go tonight. He will join Cadel Evans as our only winners of one of the three Grand Tour races (Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana) if he can hold onto his lead.

Worth watching tonight if you can to hopefully cheer him on to victory.

Just a friendly reminder that the Tour de France is starting in roughly two weeks. The tissot site we used the last two years isn’t updated yet, but it updated around the 19th of June last time so there’s still time.

I’ll reprise our league again so it makes it easier for everyone to join.
