Definitely, this year I've had 4 scores over 2300, 4 over 2400 and 2 over 2500.
Far better than any year previous, I did trade pretty hard early though but those 5 extra trades and the boosts made it easier to get a better side more quickly than usual.
It will be interesting at seasons end to see if going early and hard was the better way of building the team than slow and having trades at the end.

Are we seeing higher total points when comparing to last year? Maybe wait until the round is over, but, I'm seeing some consistently huge scores. I'm sure it's the extra 5 trades that have afforded teams the ability to upgrade quicker.
I also think Daicos, Brodie & Congilio essentially becoming premiums from a bargain price that have played the full year has also helped.

Some years you may get 1 or 2 rookies/cash cows that end up being potential year long keepers, but 3 is gift.

100%. I was recently thinking that we haven’t really had that “is rookie X a keeper” discussion this season (the answer to which is almost always no in my view) … although Daicos went from being a fairly clear non-keeper to looking like a potential premo in the matter of a few weeks.

Brodie and especially Cogs always had keeper potential in my view, but they were more rookie-priced, rather than actual rookies.

We had Ziebell last season and Impey was looking like a season long keeper as well until he got injured.

That’s true. The non-rookies at rookie prices have much better keeper potential in my view … it’s usually when we start running low on trades that the “is rookie X a keeper” gets wheeled out!

Did you cop the 'Rona mate?
Put it this way, I’ve been crook on and off for the last 2 weeks and 4 of our crew have all tested positive to the Rona I’ve been working with, yet I’ve had to do like half a dozen RATS and they’re all negative. A cough I just can’t rid, chesty, really sore throat and just lethargic. Heading to NZ in under 2 weeks so hopefully I’m on the tail end of it.
