Laird vs Stewart?
I'm sure you know this. I was just thinking that if you trade out Hewett for Laird, you lose your Def/Mid link. Also, I would look at which non-Rookie player you want on the bench.

(You know that I am trying to help you because you are my partner in the SCS Premier League Doubles Comp.) ;)

Hehe - thank you! Hopefully we can go deep 🙂

You’re right about the D-M link, and I only really spotted that after I executed the trade after Ironhawk’s message. My D cover is Wehr and Massimo, which is potentially decent with one trade in hand … but ideally I’d maintain the DPP link, and/or use the loop on players like Short/Daicos/Crisp rather than Cripps and Taranto.

Getting Laird also uses more cash, which means my final trade in will need to be a bit less expensive (whenever it comes to that).

Much to ponder!

3 trades vs 2 trades

2 trades allows me 2 per round which is great for finals, as well as the ability to get Culley and Stewart this round
But i miss out on Himmelberg as he'll likely be out of range if he goes 130+ again this week

3 allows me Dunks/Short out for Himmelberg/Dale(depends), and Stewart
BUT i discount myself 1 trade which could ruin me if i have 2 injured in finals, it also means i could ruin myself by trading out a player like short or Dunks which is CP (Common player) and turn into a negative pod, essentially undoing myself by being trigger happy?

Plenty of people have 0 trades, or close enough to it. Use them now. Saving trades is boring. :p

Seriously, the points you gain from trading should o***et the trade, and I would do it.

Now that teams are out and Cogs is back

Macrae vs Ridely vs English > OUT

If Macrae out I'll get Brayshaw or Mills

If Ridley out I'll grab one of Dale, Redman, Angus Brayshaw, Ryan

If English out I'll grab Cameron or Darcy

Ridley out seems the best value to me. Redman is in great form, I was happy to have him last round, but that is without checking the alternatives, there could be better options.

I like the looks of Redman, just dont know much about him
Vs
Dale i know a little about as he's been himself all season
Vs
Brayshaw who is in the same boat as Redman which is a POD but dont know why hes going off lately. Frok what ive heard its a similar Dawson/Laird situation (defender turned midfielder and it worked so far)

I feel Brayshaw and Redman have the higher ceilings but also the lower floors

Whereas Dale is the safe option

Redman: Ignoring the game where he got subbed out, his last 7 scores have been 99+, 3 of them 7 140+. On that form, I'd accept a floor of 99, but yes, he could revert, and might chuck in a 60, who knows.

Brayshaw: Not scoring quite as high, but a good chance of 100-125, floor a bit lower as mentioned, not a terrible pick.

Dale: Definitely more consistent as you mentioned, probably closer to a 90-115 scorer.

I still prefer Redman, but I'm biased as I chose him as a POD 2 weeks back and I'm ignoring his sub game, based on coming back with a 176 the next game.

He's well and truly broken out. Real leader - reads things so well. One of the few in the team that know when to go and when to stay. I'm tempted to use my last two trades to get him... but...

Very smart pick by you. The injury game was bad luck. Get this though, he apparently still 50/50 according to doctors on day of the game (internal bleeding is not picnic), and he come out and is clearly BOG, with a SC 170+

Two Trades Left.

Want to move on Crisp, I still have the Houstan/Short coverage loop.

Considering Docherty V Sicily.

I cannott afford Sinclair.

Who is best option for the run home.

Hawthorn arguably has the easier draw of the two, so I'd suggest Sicily. Might be that tougher opposition means more ball for defenders, but gut feel is Sicily outscores Doc from here.

If Cripps misses this week I'll move him on as i need to win this round

My options are Walsh v Steele vs Brayshaw

Im not too sure on Mills

If Cripps survives MRO this week

Then im tempted to move English on to possibly Gawn

Brayshaw v WCE could go huge, many top mids have gone huge v us (Laird yesterday for example & Miller the previous week). We have been using O'Neill as a tagger/run with role but he hasn't been effective in curtailing his opponent.

Agree with Shannon that Brayshaw seems to have the easiest opponent. He would be my pick of those 3 for this round.

Good points
Part of the reason im considering him, BUT he has GWS the week after

Would it be doumb to bring Brayshaw in this week and if Ash and De Boer is named then quick switch to Walsh as he loves pies games?

Can you afford Steele?

Just looked up Jack Steele’s record v his next 2 opponents, last 2 scores v Bris & Syd.

Bris :- 149 & 167

Syd :- 155 & 140

600k currently
