I've got 2 trades left... the problem is that with 3 rounds left and no real obvious way to do a one up/one down to get more bench depth, I might as well hold them.
In the same boat, 2 trades left with only $10k cash.

I have Short, Ridley, Whitfield. Short is probably the worst, but it seems any sideways targets aren’t going to yield many more points - Ed Richards maybe goes 95-100, so if Short averages 80 then it’s just a possible 60 point gain over R21-23 - hardly worth a trade.

Have Wehr on bench, but unsure if worth spending last 2 trades in order to cash Wehr in and upgrade Short to Redman/Sinclair. Would be a 120 point gain (40ppg differential) for the cost of 2 trades, but sit possibly exposed for any premo injuries in R22-23. Although I have McCartin as D7/F7.

Will just have to sit back and hope for some carnage, and then sideways any injured players.

Thinking for my last 2 trades Crisp and Naicos out, both have hit the wall?
Dawson in and Marshall in again!
Really tough having to pull the trigger before the first game but treating it like a lockout!

Do you mean Houston or Hewett not Dawson?
Agree with your Redman theory, Dale doesn't go that big, Mr Consistent, Brayshaw has had a solid year but wouldnt think at the pointy end of the season he is your man.
That is tough pulling the trigger now mate. Yes I meant Houston. Actually revised my strategy and not trading @wolfbunny I got through to Rd22 in 4 leagues, bowed out of 3. Of the 3 that I play in this Round, two have better teams than me and it is doubtful that using my last trade will get me a win, the third has (on paper) a lower scoring team. So for the sake of safeguarding in 5 leagues I will hold for another week

Ranked 645 and going for overall.
With 4 trades and $69.2 left I'm looking to upgrade an under-performing premium. Blokes on the chopping block are:
Witts 5RA 86 (I paid $618k for him in r14 when he was averaging 120)
Short 5RA 85
Brodie 5RA 91
English 5RA 92

Considering:
A: Hobbs, Wehr for Hollands, GusBrayshaw/Ryan/Vlastuin/Saad/KColeman/Young/Barrass. But which one? Short becomes D7
B: Hobbs, Short for Hollands, Redman. No Def bench (until r22 if Worrell holds his spot).
C: Witts for Gawn.
D: Witts for Marshall + $80.6.

Change of plans I'm skipping Rowan Marshall, ROB to English for my final trade has got to be the better upgrade with my limited funds available

Witts playing Hawks, same team Marshall did last week.

I thought there was some thoughts given teams that Gus may play back in defence. Maybe it was Harmes going to impact him who is the sub.

Leaning towards B: Hobbs, Short for Hollands, Redman.

Well so far so good, Crisp would have been my trade out and he’s gone 100 plus 👏👏

Crisp tonning up finally after a long hiatus likely means no trades this round.

Srill have Hewitt lurking down back as well so if he's still out I might look at bringing some heavier scoring in on another line next week.

Will hold Hewett now with Crisp’s score on the bench as (E). Hopefully Hewett comes back for the last 2 and he’s a unique otherwise the last trade will likely be luxury upgrade/sideways last round if not needed before.

So I traded Taranto to K Coleman this week.

However I have Hollands as my fwd E but no other way to get his potential score than refund trade Coleman back out to a donut.....

Any current floating donuts to play available? This could be my weirdest play of the year if I did go through with it....
