Hah yes, got excited without checking the eligibility
Be interesting to see how Clarko views the list and whether they chase the KPD.

And on that second part, gee I hope we don't have #1 again next year either!
Hehe - it does make his performance all the more impressive I suppose. Given the time taken for KPPs to develop, I reckon it may make sense for rebuilding teams to err on taking a good one in year one of the build - they can always add mids etc later on.

Interesting to speculate on possible improvers for 2023 following a club shift.
Brodie, Hewett, Dawson, Lipinski, Cerra, etc all flourished at their new clubs with new opportunities, and importantly were all 25 or younger and were traded (not delisted/FA)

Fiorini could be one such player if he finds himself getting more opportunities elsewhere.
Paddy Dow? I don't really rate him, but was a low pick.

What do you guys think?

Fiorini at $330k odd will be a bit of a gift at a new club played in his best position.

Few confirmed trades/trade targets that I'm interested in:

Tucker ($269k, priced at 50) - Interesting one that I haven't written off. Role dependant with this guy, got hot in the bubble before getting injured, averaged mid 80s across the first 5 rounds. Then this year in rd 3, played pure midfield with Mundy and Serong injured, leaving him Brodie and Brayshaw as the 3 mids and had 68SC from 34% TOG before getting injured. Can score if the role is correct, would only be relevant with DPP too.
Taranto ($496k, 91) - I'm all in on this guy. Not fussed about the talk of Tigers game style, if you take out Prestia's 3 injury scores this year his true average is 105.3. Expecting a similar sort of average from Taranto.
Dunkley ($588k, 108) - Hope he's a MID only to keep his ownership down. Massive lock for me, been waiting for a pure mid role for years and has still scored well. Really think 125-130 is not out of the realm with a full year in the mid.
Meek ($425k, 78) - Gets a 10% discount, if he gets the move to Hawks and looks like clear number 1 ruck (really should be anyway) he's a lock for me.
Hopper ($327k, 60) - 3 prior years of 90+ av. Hopefully a nice 150k profit and stepping stone.
Bowes ($274k, 50) - This is the one that annoys me the most. I put up some thoughts around a month ago before the trade hype occured and really liked him as an option as either the Suns 4th mid or junking in defense. From an SC output perspective I hope he goes to Hawks as it's probably the easiest mid role to walk into especially if Titch leaves, but regardless I feel any chance of low ownership has evaporated over the last few weeks.
Sharp ($222k, 41) - If he goes to Freo I'm sold. Direct replacement for Acres, and has demonstrated a huge ceiling when Ellis doesn't play over the last 2 seasons.
Fiorini ($356k, 66) - All in if gets the move. Pig.
Titch ($521, 96) - See Fiorini. Absurdly low TOG and CBAs last year, needs to leave Sam Mitchell.
Tarryn T ($292, 54) - Would need to see a concrete role at a fantasy friendly club.

Couple rookish guys:
Tom Berry ($123k, 23) - Long term replacement for Holman. Would be a slow burn but should at least play.
Corbett ($141k, 26) - Needs a few dominos to fall but could be a rookie option
Francis ($187k, 34) - I really think Horse can revive this guys career. There's definitely a spot for him in the Swans defensive unit.
McAsey ($I assume 123k?) - Was hoping Dogs would go after him. Still talk that he's coming back to Vic.

Gawn and Grundy on the same team probably invalidates both as selections. Jackson to Freo also reduces Darcy's appeal. Lloyd Meek/startable rookie (if available)? Meek isn't going to be Witts cheap like last season but if he's dealt to a team that need a ruckman he might be one to consider.

Unlikely that Witts will provide a solid return on investment comparative to similar spends on other lines and other rucks as well. Minimal room for improvement from his career high hitout to advantage rate of 34.3% last season and I would not want to place too much hope in an improvement to his marks, goals, tackles and disposal averages given that when benchmarked against other rucks, he rates as average to below average in most of those categories.

With his tendency to post scores within that sub 80-90 range and a lower ceiling than the similarily priced rucks, he will face much difficulty to maintain a price around the high five hundred thousand range and should be available for around the low five hundred thousand range come the byes. Therefore, more consideration will need to be placed into his perceived security and whether you are willing to hold or trade him, if he gets off to a slow start.

Opportunity is going to be there at GWS, will be watching Callaghan's pre season pretty closely.
GREATER Western Sydney youngster Finn Callaghan will have a delayed start to his pre-season after undergoing foot surgery.

Callaghan went under the knife at the end of the Giants' season to correct a foot problem that has been an issue for him since the middle of his draft season in 2021.

Yeah mate , don't think I'd pick either if they're both there together.
I might try Witts and a rookie if there is one or Hayes from the Saints, Marshall could even be an option.
