I was almost thinking the Hawks might be a shot at the #1 draft pick next year with the amount of players they are losing this year, but North is not making it easy. Guess they have had more practice lately.

Not good for North if he leaves, especially after they rejected some good deals to ensure they drafted him at #1.

I think Adelaide offered us up something like pick 4 + their and Melbourne's 2022 first rounders.

Meant we could have had 1, 5 and 14 this year and taken someone like Gibcus instead of JHF last year. Worth it? Hard to know really... but if JHF is going to get all whiny and walk out for not much coming back then almost any other option would have been better.

It's a tough one, I think at the time you need to take what was deemed a generational talent with the pick. It's unfortunate that he seems to have ended up not being particularly professional about things. Cripps has had opportunities to go back home, has played most of his senior career so far in horrible teams for multiple coaches, there was even talk that he was a tradeable commodity last season, he came back this season and produced his best for years and won a Brownlow. All the talent in the world is meaningless if you are petulant and non-professional. North will be better off, I hope they get a very good return for him.

All I remember about Fabian Francis is that he would sneak down the open side of the ground and become a loose forward and Freo never picked up on it.

This is the game nowadays. People get too caught up in whether players are staying or leaving. North now need to leverage what they have. Even if a good player is a chance of leaving you still draft them, you still offer them a contract, because that contract becomes the asset. Not the player. The question now is what can the important people at North get.

BOBBY Hill is the first player to swap clubs in the 2022 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period after Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney signed off on a deal on Monday morning.

The Giants received Collingwood's future second-round pick and pick No.43 in exchange for the 22-year-old and pick 40.

TIM TARANTO is officially on the move from Greater Western Sydney to Richmond after both clubs agreed to a deal on the opening day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.

The former No.2 pick makes his way south in exchange for picks 12 and 19. The Giants now hold three picks - including pick No.3 - in the first 19 selections.

Duursma's sister is playing for Port in the AFLW and she’s living with him in Adelaide, doubt he’d want to blow that up in her first year.

All this feels like North blew this one up though, at the end of the day he was still just an 18 year old kid they brought in from interstate that just needed some professional development. Seems like everything wasn’t quite right with Noble as a senior coach, I’d say it’s more North that JHF.

4 and around 20 seems a win win to me .The kid can play just needs a bit of support around him NDD

He has a brother Blake, who was playing for Hampton Rovers when Miles was drafted. Miles played for the Sandy Dragons in the U18s.

Miller played for the Dandenong Stringrays and Bewrick. His father was drafted to the Kangaroos, but never played a senior game.

They aren't related.

I think the confusion stems from the AFL website proclaiming they were brothers when Miller debuted for North.
