Meredith 5/26 from 10, Rogers 3/32 from 8.1, McDermott 70 from 83 and Jewell 43 from 37. A lower order batting cameo partnership from Steketee (35 off 36) and Bartlett (23 off 44) trying to save a shocking top order effort by Queensland.

QLD have a great team on paper. Put together two pretty poor performances so far. Meredith looked great yesterday. Good to see Jewell getting a go now, but not sure what happens with him in the BBL.

What are people thinking for must haves and underpriced players? I think my must haves will be from McDermott, Philippe, Maxwell, Boult, R Khan and Livingstone. Under-priced players I'll be looking at are Stoinis, Wade, T David, Meredith, Zampa and J Richardson if he gets a discount after not playing last season. Good luck.

Been a pretty long year for alot of these guys that are going to be involved in a World Cup leading up to the tournament, bit worried about burn out from some of those top dollar guys tbh.

Hopefully can build my starting side around Boult , Maxwell , Rashid , Sams & Willey.

Will need to try and fit in Hales.

Stoinis & Zampa plus will probably be enticed by Lynn.

Starting keeper could be interesting , doubt I can afford Clarke as well.

If the fixtures stay as is , will probably try and start 2-3 Scorchers on the bench + a Heat , so may not be as cheap a starting bench as normal.

Going to be fun trying to get Bison & Jhye both in for Round 2.

Mind you if their are Australia A games that will completely change things.

Played around a few weeks ago trying to work out prices for my preferred 16 and I think I was something like $ 225 - $ 250k over 😀

Hopefully it opens in the next couple of weeks and can start working on a few things.

Handscomb on the final list (318) of players for the SA20 auction.

Dunk & Fawad look like the only other 2 Australian players included.

Mills , Naveed , Rossouw & Salt look like the only other ones with BBL contracts that are on the auction list.

Still no clarification if the South Africa v England ODI series will be held in January as scheduled, part of the CWC Super League so surely they won't forfeit that series as well.

SA20 reportedly starting January 23rd.

SA v England ODI series scheduled for Jan 27 , 29 & Feb 1

With far more T20 form/data leading into this years competition I’ll be taking a more form orientated approach as well as some risk adverse picks. Wade has been in good touch and high on my list. Maxwell, Boult, Sams, Willey, Hales will be tough to miss with the opening double.

My biggest error in previous years was going hard on doubles for the wrong teams, so will be looking to fix that issue - lots of scorchers for that first dgw will be a priority.
