One or the other, yes, but not both.

Freo have North's future 2nd round pick. So as long as they have a 2nd round pick next year it meets the requirement.

They received a future 2nd and future 3rd when they traded Logue and Tucker to North Melbourne. That satisfies the criteria.

Yep, Port are the clear winners for mine in that deal - they have managed to keep pick 33 also in this year's draft which surprises me, thought that would be included in the mega trade for sure.

Pick 33 to Geelong for Ratugolea could be on the cards for them.

GIANTS MAKE JAEGER PLAY

The Giants are targeting Jaeger O’Meara to help cover the loss of Tim Taranto and impending departure of Jacob Hopper.

The move comes a year after they unsuccessfully tried to lure Chad Wingard then Luke Breust out of Hawthorn.

O’Meara is close friends with Greater Western Sydney co-captain Stephen Coniglio and attended his weekend wedding, along with Giants football boss Jason McCartney.

It’s believed GWS approached the Hawks about the potential of an O’Meara trade.

But it is unclear whether he would consider the move or if Hawthorn would be willing to trade him.
The 28-year-old midfielder served as acting captain at Hawthorn this year at times during Ben McEvoy’s injury absence and is highly respected at Waverley Park.

O’Meara is contracted until the end of next season.

Bit of an outsider here, but I would tend to agree with this sentiment. Why do North do it?
