What are people thinking for must haves and underpriced players? I think my must haves will be from McDermott, Philippe, Maxwell, Boult, R Khan and Livingstone. Under-priced players I'll be looking at are Stoinis, Wade, T David, Meredith, Zampa and J Richardson if he gets a discount after not playing last season. Good luck.
It will be hard to gauge the “must haves” until we have a better idea of what role players will have closer to the start. Someone like David has potential be great value, but he would need to be batting much higher at the very least. If he looks like batting 5 or 6 and getting his standard one or two overs, sure he could jag the occasional good score, but probably not worth it given his role won’t be conjusive to consistent good scoring.

If the Thunder get the double double to kick things off and the Hurricanes don’t get an early double, that will influence which players are higher or lower priority too.

With far more T20 form/data leading into this years competition I’ll be taking a more form orientated approach as well as some risk adverse picks. Wade has been in good touch and high on my list. Maxwell, Boult, Sams, Willey, Hales will be tough to miss with the opening double.

My biggest error in previous years was going hard on doubles for the wrong teams, so will be looking to fix that issue - lots of scorchers for that first dgw will be a priority.
This is a common error we all make. We tend to count the number of DGR players we have instead of who those players are, history against opponents / venues for the double, and current state of the competition (confidence or who has more or less to play for, etc)

Liam Livingstone named in England’s 15 man squad for the test series against Pakistan in December. Will (likely) result in a delayed introduction for him into this years Big Bash for the Renegades after being taken at Pick 1 in the draft.

Is Peirson confirmed as the Heat's captain for BBL12 ?

Appears McCullum preferred Billings to play BBL instead of running drinks in Pakistan , Duckett & Pope can cover Foakes short term (if necessary) otherwise they will fly Billings in.

Assuming the Heat go 6-5 and Peirson remains captain , would think he , Billings , Munro & Whiteley are locks.

Leaves 2 spots for Bryant , Heazlett , Renshaw & possibly Wildermuth.

Think it’s Bryant vs Heazlett. Can’t see Renshaw missing out after they signed him, and he provides that alternative part time spin.

Bryant/Heazlett, Munro, Renshaw, Billings, Whiteley, Pierson, Bazley, Neser, Bartlett, Steketee, Swepson. To me that seems odds on to be the first choice XI pending any bolters.

5th bowler is still a concern, could see ness and bartlett batting 7&8 with kuhnemann joining stek and swep in the tail.

bryant is high chance of being the opener purely because he's a right hander imo,

what is billings and munro's availability like? signed elsewhere for the new year or here all season?

Both signed with the Desert Vipers in the ILT20
