Herbie,

Not trying to be a smartie mate but.............

Josh Inglis is another I'm not fussed about in a side.................so no for me with him.

I'm a fan of obviously 'bison', with Agar/Mills/Richo & Tye (as a finisher)................any 4x will do me for rd 2................so trade boost for me straight up to bring 4x of them in.

Will use a second trade boost into rd3.................big fan of Steketee/Bartlett/Munro/Billings & Bazley.............any 4x of them that look good at the time too.

...then back to the normal 3x trades for a while...............

....but I do luv how the game throws up curves each round................can't wait for it to start..................

cheers AG
It's all good , love reading about different strategies and theories.

Played around with a starting bench of Connolly & Kellapotha myself and it certainly opens up all sorts of possibilities.

I guess (like many) I am hoping Inglis , Stoinis & Zampa all return to premium scoring , whether it is right or wrong time will tell.

Fixture certainly does lend itself to trading out onfield Stars/Strikers - > Scorchers - > Heat then consolidating Round 4 & 5 with Renegades & Sixers.

I guess if we don't actually need Bat 6 or Bowl 6 scores it could very well work.

This new Thunder bowler looks ripe for the including.................$105K Farooqi

I've got 5x Thunders already but could stretch that to 6x and hang on to a 'Striker' for a little longer when their bye hits rd 3 ??

Herbie,

.......reckon 'Connolly' with his bat/bwl status is a must bench nuftie mate............

The only real way to get in Mitch Marsh, Richardson and Tye next week, which is who i want is to trade out Short, Boult and regrettably, Khan next week. I’ve tried so many other times and it can work with a boost but its messy, i think if you are prepared to compromise your bench you can, but i think you lose out overall if you do that, having a playing bench is a good opportunity to get more double game players in across the first 3 rounds, im starting Neser and Swepson on my bench, instead of non playing players or cheap rubbish guys

It feels like you can get Agar, Tye, Richo with a well balanced squad or Marsh and 2 of Agar/Tye/Richo but with a poorer overall squad. The issue is just whether Marsh as captain scores so well it more than makes up for the overall squad balance.

Such a big decision and not an easy one! So much will come down to the team they name and how likely it is he bowls.. I don't think you can pay $250k for a guy who will mainly just bat.. not enough scoring avenues and a risk of losing money.

I think he will be very popular , just a matter of working out whether to start him or trade him in

Making it very hard to pick him. If he’s not firing that stars batting lineup is looking very, very poor.
This is why I’m considering Phillipe. Only 15k more for a set and forget player that you can lock away and loop early with Gilkes and Inglis etc

Wade like 50k lees very tempting too

I'm thinking along the same lines of just going Philippe as your set and forget keeper. I don't mind Wade at his price but only if he's batting top 3, not middle order. The other keepers just have too much risk where you know what you get with Philippe with him opening every game (should be top 3 come seasons end). Good luck - TBG.
