Last year it was 5 Dec, although it’s a good point about the fixture.

The AFL seem to manage the flow of news to not allow cricket (or other sports) to have the headlines to themselves for long, so perhaps the World Cup, or Australia’s progress in it, could have an impact?

Like releasing the first round schedule at 6am as the Socceroos are about to play! very distasteful! Not that Im trawling the AFL website at 6am 😜

Maybe, he played 2 rounds last season. Maybe one of the new Ruck kids we've acquired. I'm thinking Membrey has to step up and possibly put Wood fwd, maybe even Howard.

Yep, another dud acquisition to fit in with all the other duds we have there presently lol, as you might be able to tell, I'm really optimistic about the forthcoming season for StKilda.

I know a couple of other Saints fans and they seem about as optimistic as you are.

At least your club didn't trade out pretty much every senior player on your list. Not saying it was a bad move to do that, far from it, but it will be interesting to see how it goes in the short term...

Just gonna wait and see what happens this year Merv, with Ross coming back and Geoff Walsh coming onboard, also Rob Harvey and Brendan Goddard. I'm trying to be optimistic but it's difficult when our list quality doesn't seem to change and it needs to.

I reckon your coach has a Balrdrick style cunning plan in the works, something needed to happen at the Hawks, even if it means some short term pain. Call it a rebuild if you will but we don't tend to remember the crap years, only the good years with our clubs. I predict the Hawks will bounce back strong pretty soon. The powers that be at StKilda seem hell bent on preserving the record of only one Premiership since 1966. I don't see any change happening anytime soon unless radical changes are made, and serious talent is brought in somehow.

If this information is slowly released why don't they just open up the team picker for everyone to start planning/tinkering? Let the fun begin early😩

Tom Campbell played with Marshall both in dual ruck setup at times late last season with Marshall playing a lot forward. Not sure how Lyon likes to structure up with his rucks though.
