He was pretty good in the early years of the BBL
Was just checking back through his scores , looks like he has passed 20 , 25-26 times from 52 bats.

8 half centuries

Forgot he played 1 T20I

Always just thought he was a bit slow as a T20 bat.

Probably not someone you would play in a SGR but maybe passable on a DGR.

I think we are all waiting on fitness news re Richardson and whether he is available for Round 2 , I would be cautious and find the $ 7,200.00 for Tye and start him instead.

Personally prefer Inglis to Bancroft (a lot here like the latter) , Scorchers line-up still up in the air not sure if both Bancroft & Hobson play ( du Plessis , Hardie , Inglis , new OS , Turner + 1 is my guess if Agar is @ 7)

Don't mind the Shadab pick but would probably change him to Rossouw for back-to-back DGR's start or maybe Gilkes (then it opens up better/easier trade options for Clarke Round 2)

Not sure which way you go with trading out Clarke in Round 2 , Boult gets you a high priced Scorcher easily enough , looks like you will need to trade out Rashid as well.

Just my thoughts
Thanks for the ideas mate I'll ponder over the weekend!

Be back in this thread Tuesday most likely:ROFLMAO:

Anyone still running with Farooqi or Mcandrew?
I couldn’t run McAndrew now just due to concerns over rotation, his upside was both doubles.

However, Farooqi I’m still interested in. He’s going to bowl death, his record is great, he had good form in Aus. He’s value at 105k. He’s a player that I’d be considering as a SGW player. If he’s named for game 1, he plays a very weak stars batting lineup, that outside of NCN, doesn’t have a tail. All things considered, I have them as the weakest batting lineup in the competition, I want a few pieces of the thunder bowling attack. At the moment if he’s named for game 1 he’s in my side and I’ll simply be crossing my fingers he impresses enough to be undroppable.

Hinchcliffe is one that’s had very little discussion but one I really think Stars could end up playing. They’ve often played two spinners, and have Stoinis/Webster as other seam options. Probably batting at 8 if he’s in the side and handy with it.

If they sign Rogers as a replacement player I'd be slightly concerned, expect he'd open with Clarke, find it hard to believe Stoinis is batting behind Larkin and Webster when push comes to shove though.
Could be taking on that Maxi role where they save him for the back half of the innings. Basically the next player in after a wicket drops post 10th over.

Confirmed Rogers signed as Maxwell’s replacement

Could be an interesting option himself if at 62k.
Remember him doing alright during covid last year - didn’t he have one good innings in 3?
All I can find is 1 game, 32 runs, 128 SR
Played the one game as a covid replacement, then got covid himself a day or so later…
