i'd like to stay well away from mcdermott to begin this season, that said with how lean the big money player pool is, and how overpriced a lot of the 160k guys are, i've still got money to upgrade if it comes to it.

211k for a guy who goes at a run a ball until he hits 30-40, then wildly accelerates in the power surge is a huge risk. obv it paid off in a big way last year, but schedule, price and law of averages is against him this time around imo. teams are going to be better in the surge second time around. He is the 10th highest owned player so your not even going to break away from a huge portion of the comp if he does fire.

i found quite a bit of success targeting SR bonus last season, and reckon phillipe with a better draw, lower price, and quicker starts seems a better bet if you wanted a bat/wk SGR premium to kick the season off with.

Comparing a couple of poddish plays.

Philippe + Vince v Harper + Kerr?

Second option supports holding off requiring a WK donut for R2, but means playing Inglis/Bancroft straight on field in R2.

I think the first option is quite a lot safer. Philippe’s role seems very settled, whereas Kerr’s could deteriorate versus last year. Vince’s JS is also better than Harper’s, and he almost certainly bats top 3 (Harper batted 6 to end last season).

Aside from Kerr ... I've got Bazley highlighted ..

- not to start with but definitely on my radar for round 3

So what is it that I reckon I know ...

- those players playing just one game in round 1 get minimal price changes ...

- why because their last seasons average will hold them in good stead until the completion of their 3rd game ...

I prefer the bottom one. Think too many questions with cutting. Sandhu I’m coming around to, killed it last year and has been continuing that form.
Thank you, I am now leaning the same way.

It gives me an extra DGR, gives me more exposure to Thunder bowlers (given Cutting doesn’t bowl much) and gives a bit more freedom with R2 trades (given I can hold Gilkes, rather than potentially trading Clarke).

Mujeeb vs Swepson?
Would rather mujeeb but swepson double game entices me and it is unlikely I will play either the first 2 rounds anyway unless I loop.
