Good time remind any players not sure about ‘TRADING’ thru the BBL.
You have 39x trades for 12x rounds………..first round trading is unlimited until each team in Rd 1 plays………
….you have 3x rounds this BBL12 that you can trade 4x times and thus, every other round still allows you to trade 3x times.
So no need to save trades ever…………..use the trades allowed to the max. each round. Otherwise you’ll lose them…………trades can’t be banked for a rainy day in BBL.
Only the case of you having to select ‘when’ you use the ‘TRADE BOOST’ ………that extra 4th trade allowed 3x times thru the comp.
Given the price difference, is there another part to the equation? What would you do with the extra cash if you had Siddle, and does it change R2 trading or looping plans?
I would have Boult just slightly ahead of Siddle if that is the case, but not much in it. Maybe one way to split them is to look at your overall player count for Thunder v Stars against Thunder v Strikers. There will only be so many points to go around each match, so if your player count looks unbalanced in those two matches, I would pick the one who evens it up a bit.
I just wonder if Boult is a little overpriced myself, feels alot of money for a guy who won't bowl at the death, Wood and Coulter Nile are alot cheaper with roles I'd prefer to have in a SC context.
He basically never bowls at the death for New Zealand, granted the Stars dont have Southee and Ferguson but I find it hard to see why his role would suddenly be changed.
That’s not correct, Tim Southee was the preferred death bowler for NZ. Lockie Ferguson the other in most cases. Trent Boult often bowled the 17th but I wouldn’t consider that death. I believe comments from a member of the stars coaching staff indicated Boult would be used up front and in the middle as well.
Wood was said to be a death bowler and I’d be assuming NCN would be the other.
