Not quite sure where I am yet!

Raw score is 0/221 from 5, but then I have the matter of Sams VC. It looks a pretty straightforward lock, but all my loops flopped! So I have to punt on Rossouw or Wood coming good in the second game in order to take it at all. Likely Rossouw which takes me to 297.

Wade and Shadab will now come on for the other two failed loops.
Sams VC is bankable, but if taking it pushes you to accept a c. 10 score on field that you could replace with a Striker, I think it’s perfectly viable to not bank Sams’ score. In fact I wouldn’t do it in that scenario.

Just curious

When was it announced that Stoinis wouldn't be bowling or fielding?

Waa it health or was it in the rules
It was announced pretty much at the innings break. Hussey said Stoinis wouldn't be taking to the field because he was feeling a bit crook. Although they should never have played him to begin with.

Decided to keep Wood loop (he is on my batting). Plus he is a trade out anyway next with the bye.
Can't rely on Lynn and it's a waste of a perth batter next round.

I'm taking a bit of a risk here. Fading Matt Short and Inglis. McDermott comes in as keeper 31% owned, Bancroft replaces Lyth on my bench, Hose replaces Short.

Been on-board with Short, can't justify a bat fail at his price, although he may get an over or 2.

For those with Gilkes as WKP Emg, what are your plans?

Ride him out or bring in a Philippe, Billings or Wade and back them to outscore him from a single game?
Depends on other circumstances to be honest. I'm riding him out because I don't fancy any of the alternatives greatly and because I want to bank Sams VC score in any case.

I’ve decided to ride him out, albeit reluctantly. Due to a late change yesterday I can’t bring in Billings without impacting my trade options for next week.

We’ve seen many times in double rounds that a players fortunes can flip so I’ll be hoping this is one of those cases.

I've got the money there because I can take Webster's loop, just comes down to whether or not Id rather have Gilkes with a Tye in the bank or bring in Billings, be able to field Inglis and Gilkes next week but likely have to miss one of Tye and Richardson who could really hurt.

I might wait and see what the landscape looks like after tonight, but I am tempted to ride him out. He was opening, which was a good thing, and I didn't think any of the other Thunder bats put in a performance to threaten his place.

Yep, I’m in the exact same spot, albeit no Webster.

Gilkes this week and the extra Tye/Richo/Agar/Mills next week.
Billings/Wade this week and Hardie next week.

Knowing I could still get Hardie as well with option 1. Leaning that way given I’m getting the better option for a dgw, rather than single.

Do also have the option of swapping Shadab for Wade if my bat loop goes off - probably Brown if he even plays.

Already had Billings on the bench so will move him on field for Inglis.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will just have to ride him out.

I think I will just have to ride him out, it is too hard to make a major adjustment at this stage without hindering my plans for next week.

Thanks once again :)
