Think I’m pretty settled now in terms of trades and keen to have 5 strong scorchers to form the base of my side moving forward.

Short to Faf. JSangha to Richo. Connolly to Naveed.

Inglis / Gilkes
Sams, Faf, Agar, Shadab, Hales / Stoinis, Brown
Rashid Tye Richo Farooqi Green / NCN, Naveed

Happy with Rd1 - obviously - but not so much now that I am sucked into playing this game for a couple more weeks:ROFLMAO:

Have gone Clarke/Boult/Wood > Agar/Tye/Richo

Not super keen on batsmen and especially Faf at 180k. Obviously a big innings will hurt me but I trust the tried and true Scorchers bowlers more

oh what a mess i've made after just one round!

thinking of using a boost, and doing something like lynn, clarke, Cdg, wood -> Billings, kuhnemann, jhye, shadab resulting in

billings/inglis
sams/hales/lyth/gilkes/ stoinis/shadab/weatherald :sick: loop
Jhye, Rash, Tye, AAgar, Farooqi Kuhnemann/zampa

Everyone is expendable, so do not grow too attached to players and scores given the fickle nature of T20. If the order of scores was reversed for Clarke, would you still be as keen to hold through his bye?

I would be very cautious about selecting Hatz given you already own Agar. Do you expect the pitches to be spin friendly for RD2 and that the pace options for the Scorchers all struggle? Do you intend to hold any Scorchers bowlers past RD2 and would you be confident in fielding Hatz if necessary or that he is selected in RD3? In your situation is the cash saved essential in funding other or future moves? Seems like a low upside, high risk move.

Will be very interesting to see what coaches decide to do with their Thunder players and presents a great opportunity to exploit the Sunk Cost fallacy.

Out: J Clarke, R Rossouw and T Rogers
In: S Billings, A Tye (via A Agar) and A Lyth
Should be a solid option given your thoughts above
Thanks for the great suggestions Connoisseur. Was thinking about Hatz based on recent form, hard to pick any Scorchers bowlers with the doubt on whether they will play both games. I'm thinking at the moment if no one in my team is droppped Clarke, Rogers and Brown out, Lyth, Billings and Akeal in.

😄😄😄 Don't know how I missed that - think I might change that trade lol.

Strategy stays the same, I'll get another Scorcher.

Thanks a lot for pointing that out!
Marsh is forecast to make 252 points this round according to the KFC Supercoach email I received this morning. Based on this current recommendation you should definitely have him in your team. Warner projected to make 141 so grab him too.

Finished up with a score of 931 which isn’t ideal but I’ve done worse in the past

I’m looking to go pretty Scorcher heavy in this weeks trades

Siddle -> Tye
Lynn -> Lyth
Boult -> Faf

The would leave my team being:

Inglis/Gilkes

Sams, Faf, Hales, Lyth, Rossouw/ Rogers, Connolly

MShort, Rashid, Agar, Tye, Hatz/ Stoin, Zampa

I get to retain MShort and Rashid while being able to hold Zampa which is awesome. I also have only 3 thunder on field which will make for easy trades next week

The issues are that I have to field Hales and Rossouw and cop their inevitable price drop AND I have no loops on my bench

Looking at;
1. Wood -> Lyth
2. Siddle -> Jyhe
3. Stoinis -> Webster

This means I will have
Inglis
Sams, Agar, Hales, Lyth, Rossouw
Khan, Tye, Jyhe, Farooqi, Green + Hosein looping for Khan

The Webster switch is my spare trade used for cash plus a much better player to loop given his role - 4 overs plus first drop like wow.
Happy to gamble on Lyth but am torn on using bancroft, not sold on Faf for 180k. Think my strong bowling core can support riskier bat only options. Also holding Clarke till he peaks in price then switching to Phillipe now.

Think if you’re using a boost you can’t still be stuck with playing one of Gilkes and Weatherald. I’m not sure what to recommend but hopefully this generates some conversations

Could go Billings over Richo/Tye and loop Gilkes again but not sure he’s worth it tbh
Id bank a Hosein while hes well priced but honestly the way my team is set up I dont see how I could trade him in without having to trade him out again for Heat targets so largely feels pointless.

yeah thats fair, original plan was to not even use boosts till much later/keep them up the sleeve. but round 1 went to **** quickly

Had originally intended to use one of lynn/cdg as the last resort bat on the bench due to the draw, but having seen Shadabs role, i find him a neccesity to have somewhere in the lineup and have to kill one of them to make the trade work due to $$$, then the plan was to get a jump on brisbane players early hence billings/kuhnemanns admission. i'm going to have to have a fiddle later and see if fading jhye for dorff buys me enough cash to dump weatherald instead of someone more useful.
