Rd 9 not playing: Kerr, Philippe, Abbott, Wade, Stoinis, Mujeeb

Probably/possibly not playing: Handscomb, Connolly

Single game: McDermott, Ellis

That leaves us with Clarke, Inglis, Lynn, Short, Tye and Agar as DGR in Rd 9.

Who do we prioritise as our 4 outs (definitely seems a good round to boost to me)?
Depends a lot on if we are having a look at Ellis & McDermott as Bench Emergencies and how they score.

How did Mujeeb get in there , thought we were bringing K Richardson back ?

Don't ask.

...too late, you have.

I raised the question was it worth switching Richardson to Mujeeb as he had the better BE just before their match. I figured we'd be trading out either player anyway, and didn't expect either to score much. Got that partly right, just the wrong part. Richo would probably be handy this round too. It ended up being my decision to switch, nobody had responded either way - nobody to blame but myself. Figured Mujeeb had a 30 point head start with BE's, and that it made sense to back that in, I was wrong.

All good , explanation makes sense.

Makes things a bit trickier this round , but obviously we didn't know that at the time.

Plenty of dollars in the Bank to go shopping and Carey , Hardie , Head etc are all relatively cheap.

If we look at McDermott as WK (E) , may mean we hold on to Philippe ( or Handscomb) to see what he scores.

Ellis looks uninspiring so would trade him out.

Wade could clog up Bat 6 & 7 so maybe needs to go to say Carey (initially , can update trade if necessary)

Stoinis - > Webster

That's already 3 trades

Would need to see a visual though , too many non players to see it clearly at the moment.

Can possibly hold both Abbott & Kerr on bowl bench as long as we trade Mujeeb out.

Might need to take McDermott's score though as the 10th or 11th player (if that's the case maybe we just play him WK 1 outright)

Keep up the great work. I'm not touching anything from here without at least someone else suggesting it first.

Seriously, this rank is all thanks to everyone who has contributed in any way, not just here, but around the site. You've all played a part in this awesome rank so far. Let's bring this home strong! Still 5 rounds to go.

Hahaha

Will be a lot easier if you can see it up with all the definite non players on the bench

Love it! Great rank from a great bunch. Let’s keep riding this wave!

Don’t beat yourself up re: Mujeeb vs Richo, we’ve all had calls go the wrong way but hindsight will do that. What’s making us so strong is we don’t dwell on that or let it stop us making the next round of decisions. We got this!

I’ll have a proper look tomorrow morning and throw in my 2 cents.

We don't have enough bench space for that...

Can switch Philippe and Handscomb I guess, but even if he plays, I don't really want to field Handscomb if there is any other option at all.

VC/C/E not set yet clearly.

That's what I was thinking when I was writing before.

Looks like we have 6 DGR players at the moment (not factoring in Connolly)

+ 4 to trade in

so to be safe I think we need to look at both Ellis & McDermott as Emergencies , one of them is our 11th score

If McDermott works , Philippe can be WK1 , if not swap him with Inglis or trade him out.

If Ellis works , almost can hold Abbott & Mujeeb.

Stoinis will need to be traded to a bowl line player.

Wade will need to be traded to a bat line player.

I'd make sure we get the guys with two scoring avenues especially with back to back singles to follow, so that makes Webster,Hardie and Head pretty easy ins, Thornton just had a shocker but dont think I'd want to go without his scoring power in a double so that's probably the 4 from me, who to trade out is a little tougher but Id err on the side of offloading high BE's.

I'll be back at work tomorrow, and will probably get back home around the bat flip time for game 1. If we happen to get a reasonable consensus on who to trade in and out, who to put the VC and E's on, and who is where on field, could someone please post this in a summary post? I won't have any real chance for last minute changes, but want to make sure we get something reasonable locked in before the first game. Thanks.

It is looking like from the poll that Head, Hardie, Webster and either Bancroft or Carey are our preferred trade ins. Stoinis, Philippe, Mujeeb and Kerr the likely trade outs (although a few varying thoughts here, Wade a possibility too). Ellis and McDermott as two of the E's, not sure on the third. No comments on a VC - possibly hold off until the second game? Have I got all that right?

Will try to check in during the day tomorrow if I can, but no idea what my workload will be like yet on my first day back.

I think we need to decide on :-

Stoinis - > ?
Wade - > ?

And set up something like this

PHILIPPE / McDermott (E)

Clarke , Inglis , Lynn , ? , + 1 / Connolly *, Handscomb , KERR *

Missing 1 playing at this stage

ABBOTT , A Agar * , M Short * , Tye , ? / Ellis (E) , Mujeeb

Then depends on what Ellis & McDermott score as to which one we take and the other 2 players we trade out

No idea for a VC/C

You guys need to be commended for the run you are having.

To get to 26th is crazy.

I've been a keen onlooker, and just find it amazing the unity and rationale in which you are working to reach decisions.

A couple of bumps along the way, nothing to be discouraged about.

I wish you the best for the run home. If it's not me, you are one of a number of teams from this site that I would like to see win the thing.
