I guess it depends on whether we want to completely discount Connolly, or keep the option open for him to be a DGR player if named. But you're right, if we strike a line through Connolly and commit to him not being involved, we need to field 1 of Ellis/McD in which case it makes sense to have them both as the E so we can take the better of their scores.
God I never realised how much easier it is when you can move the players in your own team vs doing it from a distance!
Keepers: CLARKE, (Wade)
Bat: INGLIS, LYNN, Kerr, Trade #1, Trade #2 (McD, CONNOLLY)
Bowl: SHORT, TYE, AGAR, Trade #3, Trade #4 (Abbott, Ellis)
Kerr swings to either Bat or Bowl depending on whether we take Ellis or McD. Means our 4 trade ins don't impact that loop so we can focus on them separately to this structural set up being locked in.
If we trade Handscomb, Philippe, Stoinis, and Mujeeb, + add in our bank, we have $635,000 to spend.
Head, Hardie, Webster (top 3 in the poll) cost $390,200.
So we have $244,800 in the bank for a 4th trade, and with so many DPP players it can effectively be anyone.
We can afford Marnus, or T.Rogers if we want to add them into the mix of SGR trade in options. Given the Heat have a double upcoming, Marnus could be a good one to trade in and stash. Or we can go an additional DGR player to boost this round up.
If we can get group consensus on the above structure and trade outs, we can theoretically trade Mujeeb, Stoinis and Handscomb to 3 SS, meaning they can't get locked out and maintain max flexibility while we position players across the round for the trade ins? That way our 4 trade outs are all "on the bye" until we make each move.

With this one , not knowing who we are trading in and out , the exercise book gets a workout with all the Bat/WK and DPP's links going everywhere
I guess with Connolly I am discounting him too early , quite possibly Agar comes in for Hobson and they give Connolly a few games at this level.
Like that setup and options , very well explained.
