977 Neser. Pretty happy finally nailing a good one after a lot of consistent par scores. Thanks Bancroft. Hopefully narrowed that 90 point gap to 11th down a bit. Onto the next

Neser 196
Bancroft 157
Morris 100 (if only he played 2)
Tye 82
Abbott 79
Bazley 72
David 68
Inglis 48
Labuschagne 29
Short 10
Brown 4
Not sure where this sits tbh. Maybe par, just below? Ranked 816 so would’ve thought I’d at least stay in the top 1000.
Hopefully SCS have the number 1 overall after the round!

Wish Eskinazi did this in the first game and I probably would have taken his VC score
Sams and Short on field not great scores but think a lot would be in the same boat with both of them on field.
Some of my Heat players were pretty disappointing and it is not ideal to be stuck with some of them on field going into next week but fingers crossed they can do a job.
817 Tye - 9 DGRs reduced to 7 with Morris and Agar missing this game.
Thought this would be a round to fill my boots but in the end didn’t even score as much as last round‘s 905. Perfectly set up for Tye to junk it up and he gets pounded for 31 in an over and then drops a sitter. Just never seem to get that last little bit of good fortune that would propel right up to the pointy end.
What a strange day. Been up with family on the Sunshine Coast today so haven't seen everything but I gather most of the guys who did well game 1 flopped in game 2!
I need to go and check but I'm pretty confident concussion subs have been activated in the BBL before and have counted. I may well have confused that with an X Factor sub though!

My interpretation of what’s going to happen in this situation is based purely on the fact that SC is not going to rock the boat and ‘break the system’ to incorporate Hatzoglou’s score into the round.
They’ll almost certainly say that the substitute rule covers it and that will be that. Happening at the end of a round doesn’t help things either.
Hopefully they clarify things for the future, but changing (however little) a rule right near the end of the season isn’t going to sit well.

Bancroft brilliant. Saved my round well and truly. Hopefully move up a little after looking awful before the final game.
The wild thing about this is we spent the entire first half of the season complaining how slow the pitches were and how bowling dominant the tournament was.
Why can’t there be some transparency/ clarity? Surely all test squad members going to India should be unavailable for BBL finals rather than this ridiculous situation where 1 bowler can play but the other can’t. Wound love to know the reasoning behind it, just seems bizarre to me

Morris isn’t a chance of playing first test I guess. Especially being the 5th seamer in a tour of the subcontinent. Agar is probably 2nd choice spinner and very likely to play game 1.
