Not sure why theyd bother signing Shaw if they weren't going to be resting Philippe with him taking the gloves, so expect he misses as a minimum
If Kerr opens he’s a lock. Probably just run 4 Canes and grab Kerr and then Sutherland/Webster/NCN/Carey etc

Really not keen on many Canes tbh. See some are going 6-7 deep with them. Not for me

Yeah there is that, but I’m looking for an on field guy as already have my loops set up around the dodgey Brisbane guys. Fielding Neser and then 1 of Bazley/Renshaw. Option to field both and bench Sams if they both go well
250k for a guy thats got to travel interstate with a bad back is a pass from me as good as his last two games have been, especially when he's just had back spasms which you dont tend to recover from inside a couple days.

I dont really understand the logic of not running as many Canes as possible myself, think Id back them even out of form to be outscoring guys playing once more often than not and the more you have the less likely it is that you do miss the massive scorer of the round, everyones going to have different ways of playing this though.

Yeah there’s some good Canes options no doubt. But honestly DGR means very little. See it so many times this season already, players do nothing on the DGR. Sutherland looks a lock for a 50-70 score atm. Rather bank that than hope someone like Jewell has a blinder

Blundstone this year has been pretty bowler friendly, so scope for the Canes top order to not do a lot in game 1.

Of course Launceston in game 2 has the potential to be batter friendly to even things out.

Id prefer to be on guys with two bites of the cherry rather than chasing points of previous rounds on single gamers but thats just me, will be interesting to see how the majority plays it.

Guess the other thing is if Sixers play a weak or full strength line up tonight. That will make Canes less or more appealing

You only need the Canes to go at their averages over the two games and you are going to need single gamers to score 60+ to beat them, 9 times out of 10 picking the Cane is going to be the better decision I think.

Yeah I’m coming around to a 6th Canes guy, have 5 atm. Need to see how the weather is closer to the game though. Starting to cloud over here atm. Rain might not be far away but the sooner it comes the sooner it goes. Looking ok from 8pm, so could be a delayed start. Hopefully not. Need to know if Abbott is playing and Dooley is an option too but we don’t know if he’s over his injury

My Predicted Sixers XI is:

Patterson
Phillipe
Henriques
Silk
Christian
Kerr
J.Edwards
Bird
M.Edwards
Murphy
Naveed

Shaw maybe replaces another bat

Reckon they rest the bowlers, Smith and move some of the middle order up to give them more of a bat. Wouldn’t be surprised if Kerr opened.
Still have Kerr somehow, I’d love this provided toss is on time!, also strengthens Canes, delayed toss would be havoc
