Waiting for the second game seems the best bet to me, if it’s no good, go for Sams
Probably not the percentage play but now Manenti is out Id be tempted to just C Short
My opinion - hold off. Meredith could easily take 3 against an underperforming Heat batting line up. If not, then you have a reasonable back up option.
Thanks guys,

The logical person in me says hold off, but the irrational person says go for MShort as C, the big worry of course is that Rogers gets hold of him early and he fails.

Is Sams really reasonable back-up ;)

Thanks for you thoughts

1/376 (Meredith, not taken).

So I messed up last night and went against the grain and took my lowest scoring Canes as VC.

So now I have a big call to make, so I wait for Meredith to have his second game and then assess options (Sams is the only other C option at this stage) or I get on the front foot and back a MShort/Neser/Renshaw as C?

I'm a little down on Canes (only 5 Wade, Dooley, Ellis, Meredith (VC), David) so currently my SGR players are MShort, Neser, Sams, Renshaw/Head, Bazley (and Abbott).

Anyone have any thoughts as to the best course of action?
With Meredith on 28 and averaging 40s, Short averaging 80 against a fragile Renegades looks a viable alternative.

I just dont trust Meredith much at all and think Sams is a pretty average backup when hes played one good game in 2 weeks, the percentages say waiting is the better option but Id probably risk Short if that was my decision to make.

Need to play 4 of Neser, Sams, Brown, Renshaw, Labuschagne, Head and Bazley. Don’t have much confidence in any of them, although am currently looking at Neser, Sams, Renshaw and Labuschagne (Bazley probably next but only bowled 2 overs last game). Surely Head has to come good though??
