Absolutely atrocious. It started horribly on the team sheet and in the lead up when Warner was reported as considering batting right handed at times to combat the pitch.

I don't see how we get anything out of the series from here. Never went in expecting big things, but expected better than that.

I wasn't confident we were making massive inroads when we took the 5th wicket with the Indians 9 or 10 runs short of our total and that turned out to be correct. Jadeja is a seriously good bat for a number 7, and Axar has batted at 5 in T20 cricket iirc showing he has some serious prowess for a Test number 9.

Kudos to Murphy. Brilliant debut. The only positive.

Jadeja was the first Indian batsman to score 3 triple centuries in the Ranji Trophy.

Axar has a FC 💯 to his name.

Blaming our poor preparation , although the pitches they gave us last tour in that regard didn't help

Only saw some of the highlights , looked like the majority were playing back , always thought the best way to combat spin was to move your feet and play forward.

Sounds like Starc is on his way to Delhi , Green & Hazlewood both still sound doubtful.

Head probably comes in for any of Warner , Khawaja , Renshaw or Handscomb.

Bailey did say they were going to reassess the Squad after the second test , be surprised if they sent over many reinforcements.

Hopefully bounce back , not sure how

Let's see if Renshaw can improve his average in this series, shouldn't be too hard ;)
