It's not us that is saying, it is the dumb AFL system.
Have an accidental collision, with no head contact, nothing to see here.
Have an accidental collision, and the other player gets concussed, you were careless, and get suspended.
It's beyond stupid, when the actions are identical, but the outcomes are different.
Even more stupid in terms of the AFL and their "head is sacrosanct" stance is the fact if you go in hard and are careless or reckless and nail your team mate in the head and concuss him. Then it is nothing to see here because it was your team mate. So under the AFL rules the opposition players head is important but your own team mates is not. Complete BS that you claim to have a standard that protects one head but not the other. Is not a player a player? Is not the injury the same no matter who? Be consistent or don't have the rule at all.

Collingwood's Jack Crisp will issue a public apology after the completion of an AFL investigation into a video that was leaked to social media last week.
Crisp will also undertake an education program, but will not be suspended.
The AFL took Crisp's track record since the time the video was taken, his acknowledgement of his behaviour and his willingness to make a public apology into account when making the decision.
While the images in question were taken without Crisp's consent, he did admit he distributed them to another person.
"Last week I became aware that a video was being shared online containing private images which I had sent to another person in 2018," Crisp said.
"I want to apologise for my actions and the impact they've had on my family and our Club.
"Since that time, I have learnt a lot and grown as a person and I hope my family, those at Collingwood, and everyone connected to our Club and the wider game, can see that growth. In saying that, I am still a work in progress and aim to continue to get better as a person.
"I am incredibly fortunate to have the support of Collingwood, my wife Mikayla and my daughters – while I am disappointed in myself for those actions, the impact this has had on my wife and my family hurts the most and I apologise to them for that."
More to come.

Maybe all AFL players should have to surrender their smartphones and be issued with Nokia 3310's
