Wait and see what the news is on Ridley. If it's only a few weeks I almost thing it's better to hold and let the 18 cry drop out of the price cycle so he picks up some cash again. Hard to trade him to anyone useful from where he sits now.

Only 4 rookies left on field, but the team still scored about 200 below par on the weekend. Just a horrible downward slide at the moment.

Me too. As a d/f averaging over 100 I'm not seeing any point trading him...unless he goes forward.

Ideally wait until next round and see if he holds his spot. If trading out someone like Roberts, I don’t think it entirely matters, happy to go early. Other rookies may still have some profit by waiting a week etc

Did think Drury looked solid enough and should hold his spot though.

He is equal 1st for SC tons in the entire league. Absolutely a premium in my eyes.

I agree - have many problems with my side and Sheezel is not one of them.

ATM I have Atkins, B. Smith in for Wilmot and Hollands/Baker.

Happy to pay a premium for Atkins. The bye coverage will be nice and he's less likely to dish up a 30 on field. Still makes 100k and its easier to trade him up from 300k than trading Weddle from 250k. Smith scoring ok for someone not playing anywhere near his best. And scrolling through fwds I dont see anyone screaming pick me. Benefits from Treloar out you'd think.

I want to bring in Atkins over Weddle but it only leaves me at $521.2k available for an upgrade on Greene and the options at that price point are sparse to non-existent. Steele, Brayshaw, Lloyd and then a selection of options in the $540ks are all just out of reach.

thats why im seriously considering Smith. At the very least I see him outscoring his price. Especially with Treloar injured.

Issue with Atkins is I think hell be in the VFL by the time the byes roll around, gets a run with a couple injuries but has consistently not been in their best 22 plans, also butchered the **** out of it on the weekend.

Seems to be a main beneficiary of Millers injury, even with Weller in the team. At least if he gets replaced, it will be with Constable.

Is he worth grabbing even if his bye isnt the friendliest?

I dont have Gulden but even worse, no Ziebell either. It's destroying my season.

I could walk in on Sheezel and my wife and I'd offer him a cup of tea - he's been an absolute star and he's not going anywhere for me. I'm wondering whether a sideways trade from Marshall to Gawn is my play this week, from one injury prone ruckman to another just so nothing changes too much!

At the moment trades i'm thinking of: Bank 350k pre-trades:

Wilmot to Weddle
Ginbey to Oliver (finally)

Potentially a 3rd trade using the boost of JVR to N.Madden (again), moving S.Ryan to the fwd line, he's been stuck at R3. Will give me the fwd/ruck link & the ability to loop Ryan in the fwd line; JVR to Madden nets 145k as well.

Is that 3rd trade a good or bad one? Any opinions appreciated.

Yeah, still got money to make and you can ride him all the way to Rd 15 but I reckon Atkins is the better option - $37k cheaper + Rd13 bye
