Had a good but not great round of 2042 which still allowed me to move up 27 spots to 57th.

Unfortunately both the helmet and Meek badly crapped the bed otherwise a top 20 overall ranking may have been possible. :poop:

Also lost out tragically in rookie roulette, fielding Jordon over Powell, although that one's probably on me. :rolleyes:

Bringing in both Bowes and Chappy last week was thankfully a bright spot.

Looking at switching the helmet for Ridley this week and cashing out Clark for a rookie, most likely Waterman. Will give me around $350K to maybe take Fantasia up to Danger the following week.

Otherwise not too many other issues although please bring Flynn back this week Cameron! Surely the big Mummy needs at least a month to recover after that massive effort against Grundy. :cautious:

By the way is that Rids from The Coaches Panel podcast sitting at 2nd just a point off the overall lead? I didn't play any AFL fantasy formats last year (taking a covid break) but didn't he win RDT in 2020? :unsure:

I am considering doing something a bit radical even though I am ranked 45th overall.

Mummy playing so well could well means he gets more games than we expected so Flynn might not be as good an option as first thought.

Really liking what I am seeing from Tim English this year, Martin joining the dogs has been great for him. English has scored 105 + 91 last 2 games, taking strong marks up fwd & kicking goals. Plays the suns next week at home with no Witts/ then Giants (Flynn or Mummy), Rich (Nank) & Carlton (Pittonet) next 4 so nice draw coming up. Doesn't play Collingwood (Grundy) his bogey team for the rest of the season, has Melb (Gawn) in round 20. 632K currently - average of 85 so far.

Yep the Mummy spanner in the works is something us rookie R2 coaches really need to evaluate. Hopefully Flynn is back this week but the Giants had a great win after starting the season zip 3. And heaps of that had to do with the awesome job Mummy did on Grundy. So it may not be long before we see Mummy again. :eek:

English did look impressive at MARS but there are also a number of possible midpriced options to consider including Hickey (cheapest although much better SC option) through to Big Boy McEvoy and Darcy.

Even ROB is not that much more expensive than English, now posting two good scores and appears to have bottomed out, after a horror start. If he pumps out another ton in Rd5 I may have enough coin to get there but we'll see what happens this weekend first. :unsure:

Is that no points left on the table through suboptimal rookie selections, and your second highest scorer as C?

Good effort!
No. Trades have been made for this round as well as VC/C selected. Fielded Jordon over Powell last round and captained Grundy after forgetting to bank Macrae.

I’m thinking of:

Fantasia => Ridley
Kosi (or Highmore) => Waterman

$400k currently in the bank.

Does that look okay?

Dunkley the other potential in, but he seems like he’ll have a bad game at some point.

Looks good to me. I have Dunkley ahead of Ridley in this format but you're probably right that he dips at some point. I would let quality of onfield rookies determine it. Would personally trade Kosi before Highmore.

I'm thinking I'll do De Goey + Jordon out for Dev Robertson + Brad Crouch. Ideally would wait a week to see how JDG goes without Adams but this is last week for correction and he has been bad enough that I don't really care.

Thanks, that’s helpful!

Fair bit of support for keeping Highmore over Kosi. I can understand both sets of arguments, but am surprised it’s as consistent as it is (also looks a closer race in DT than SC). With that said I am being swayed by the arguments in Highmore’s favour!

Those trades look pretty good to me. Looks like a premo forward will need to go 95+ or close to it, and I’m not sure De Goey has ever managed that even two games in a row. Prone to missing games too.
