Very unbalanced, but lots of big guns and if the cheapos start, they'll be value.
Will allow me to minimise transfers to get the DT.
Of course it's still early days, but this type of balance isn't too bad.

Got enough to get KDB for Buendia, but given Buendia starred in the Championship last season and has 2/3 promoted sides first up, happy to give him 2 weeks before deciding whether I should flip early or not.

Haven’t played this format for a few years, but pretty hooked on FPL. I don’t really understand the new scoring system. Having put together a draft, just going to throw out some names which I think provide pretty good value.

GK - Bachmann. Watford have a great set of fixtures to begin the year, and from all reports were defensively sound in the latter half of the previous campaign. Pretty locked on him at his price.

DEF - Tierney. Arsenals fixtures open up from week 4 onwards. Most of the other nailed on attacking defenders will set you back upwards of 2mil more. In this format of playing 2 or 3 defenders he can be hidden away on the bench against Chelsea and City, or alternatively traded into after those 2 games.
Firpo. Left back signed from Barcelona. Leeds were pretty safe at the back end of last year. They moved Alioski on, so the spot seems to be his. 2% owned and too cheap imo.
Others of interest include Ait Nouri, Perraud, VVD, Johnson, Rose, Aarons, Omobamidele, Tavares.
TBC…

MID - Buendia. 3 prime fixtures to start. Even better if Grealish goes.
Havertz. Crazy price. Need to monitor Chelsea strikers as he might play OOP.
Mbeumo. Prefer him to Toney simply because he’s 1mil cheaper and mid spots look a bit harder to fill.
Gibbs-White. If he gets regular starts then I think he’s the pick of the fodder. If not, then it’s probably Gilmour. Alternatively both might turn out to be good picks, but both have rubbish fixtures to start.
Not many others at the low end that interest me. Will be monitoring Olise, but I believe he’s injured.

FWD - Absolutely loaded position. My preference is Sarr over Toney due to fixtures. Think Watkins is worth a 3 week shout, similar to Buendia. At the price it’s probably wise to start Salah. If Kane goes to City then he’s probably going to be essential, however he would be unlikely to start in week 1 against Spurs. Son is probably a great pick without Kane. So much choice that playing fixture blocks is key.

Keen to see what Sancho gets priced at, hopefully he’s positioned as a mid just to give another option.

Lamptey, most likely not going to be fit for the start of the season and White likely to depart, going cold on Sanchez
Very valid points and reasons why I have gone cold on him in FPL. Expecting him to be hugely owned, not so much in this format. In that game he’s fairly priced at least, in this game he seems way overpriced.

Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota are in line to make their first appearances of pre-season against Hertha BSC on Thursday.

The duo reported to Liverpool’s Austrian training camp at the end of last week and have been taking part in the daily sessions with their teammates.
And after confirming Virgil van Dijk could play some part in the Reds’ next outing, Jürgen Klopp revealed Robertson and Jota are also likely to be involved in Innsbruck.

I always think it's quite straightforward to make a pretty good starting team in this format due to underpriced premiums. For me the trick is balancing how many "typical premo" you forego to get the likely "rookies" who'll skyrocket. Having said that, if VVD looks on form, you've saved yourself 6m from the outset.
