Looking like the WBDs are neuteralising the fact that MEL have played their GF this week, because it looks like the WBDs are playing their GF this week. If the WBDs continue with dominating this game, then it would be interesting what will happen GF day?
1995

Prelim 1: Geel 20.9 Def Rich 6.4 by 89 points
Prelim 2: Carl 18.10 Def Nth 8.8 by 62 points

Grand Final: Carl 21.15 Def Geel 11.14 by 61 points

151 point total PF margin is a record.
The 150 point turnaround Geel made from PF to GF I think is also a record!

That 8-10 minutes at the start of the 3rd, was probably the best football Melbourne have played for 30 years.

Got a potential problem tonight. My wife barracks for Essendon, which is not a problem, my daughter and myself barrack for Melbourne, but the black sheep of the family, my son barracks for the Bulldogs 😲.

If the Bulldogs get up tonight and it is a Melbourne v Bulldogs GF, it will be a tense 2 weeks in our household 😉

If Melbourne were to play the Bulldogs and loose, I would nearly have to move out 😲
One job Pt Adelaide, one job......

I think the big blow out scores are partly due to the mental attitude of players, not physical. With a 2 week rest, the GF players should be fit, so being mentally prepared will be most important.
Since the WBDs started so well, that should stir the MEL players into a positive frame of mind to apply pressure early, knowing if they don't, then the WBDs will dominate.
I'm still confident the Dees will win.

Kudos Ken.

Able to surpass Brad Scott next year to move to 3rd as the longest tenured coach to have not made a grand final. Clearly evident tonight, the tactical nous displayed by Beveridge compared to the lack of by Hinkley. Congratulations to the Bulldogs on a fine performance tonight and best of luck to everyone’s new second team, the Melbourne Demons.
