Good point although Carlton supporters may suggest that this point may not apply :p
Open to interpretation on whether the impact will be beneficial but you would assume that the Blues will not have the amount of SC relevant players that the Giants have had over the past couple of seasons meaning some of those scores between the 80-100 range could now be worth around 95-115 for Williams.

Will be an interesting season if ends up more games. Wonder if they would use a 30 trade system if it ended up 26 H&A games. Would be a very fun and frustrating season.

I see! Any idea roughly how much?

20 is a pretty high number for the Bont in a 17 game season.

If it’s say 4 pts, that’s 5ppg of the Bont’s season average in “contested knock ons”
Refer to the Bont VS JPK game (? 2018 ?) that Champion Data released the scoring for all acts by both players during that game. Unsure if the raw score for a contested knock on is higher but I seem to recall an amount around 6 to 8 per knock on for that game. Might take a bit finding but I am sure it was posted here as well (if you cannot find it via google search).

Luckily I printed it!
It appears as though a contested knock on is equivalent to a hard ball get (around 3.5 points, I suspect Bont’s 4 was from scaling because there’s no reason it would be worth more than a hard ball get).
Then an uncontested knock on is equivalent to a gather or handball receive and is just 1 point.
And I think you must get an extra 1 point if it’s effective, equivalent to a handball.

Thanks for finding it @Bontempele.

Dunkley is now mid-forward, but he finished home and away as a mid only. Does anyone remember if positions are based on home and away only or finals as well?
Can't view what it is you may have attached, but Dunkley was always tracking for MID/FWD status throughout this year per the AFL Player Ratings summaries, and also as noted in a HS article at about Round 16.

EDIT: Actually I see what you mean after having a quick look over at the R18 and then R19 summaries on AFL Player Ratings Twitter. I suspect that it may have been an error that Dunkley wasn't showing up in the MID/FWDs summary list for the last little while. We've seen a few 'human' errors with their summaries across the year position wise, e.g. Whitfield, so I suspect this may be similar given he's definitely played a fair majority forward all year, and was even in mentioned in the HS article. Other than that, maybe his time spent in the ruck was maybe distorting things? But I doubt it.

Seeing what Williams did when playing midfield in last years finals series is enough for me.
I believe Carlton want him in that role, need him in that role.
Blues don't have as many point sharing guns as GWS.
Even if shifted to half back he has proven to score well in that position.
$460k he's a lock. Just a watch on his body over pre season needed.

I'm not as bullish on Dunkley as most yet.
I would have liked to see consistent CBA's ( and not as a ruckman haha) and I get that its not his role as much now but when he broke out he was a main stay there and looked fantastic. Libba's form suggests he'll stay in the guts next year too.
Beverage and his magnets also an ongoing concern for me somewhat.

If the Marshalls, Fyfes, Sidebottoms, Dangerfields ect do get Fwd status your F1-F4 have the potential to average close, if not the same as your M1-M5. Theres a few ahead of Dunkley for mine atm.

I love a cheap Ruck/Fwd playing as f4,f5.
I remember when Stef Martin was played late in 2014, was 300k odd, was belting out 100s week after week. Supercoach porn it was. Surely Preuss's next move is to a team where he is no1 ruck. If so he's a lock in my side.

Looking for value in defence next year. Maybe 1 Whitfield/Lloyd/Laird.

It's a great time of year isn't it? Finals footy and while SC has ended the speculation of next years picks is just as fun as when SC is up and running. Keep the great opinions coming. There all great reads.
