But, I am likely to make a late change.
For instance last week I took the c off of Macrae to put on new recruit English 😳🥺

I must say that my first experience of captaining Witts was a deeply frustrating experience.

If you think he’s the type to not have two down games in a row, though, he could be a decent option.

The C on Witts and VC on Stewart last round was very painful to sit through. After a failed C on Cripps earlier in the year I said just stick to Neale/Macrae but started throwing it around again as those 2 had some down games and then the byes reduce options. See if I can stick to the top mids again.

Would not consider Witts as a captain due to his inability to influence the game around the ground in terms of marks (contested), tackles, disposals, etc. Much safer as a vice captaincy selection in rounds in which they play earlier than the main options.

Have you considered Macrae as captain instead and placing the VC on Neale or Oliver?

Looks solid VC option based on these stats….that game at the mcg in 2020 was also round 1 against the hawks so almost 2.5 years ago….

Melbourne don't really tag so thought Neale would be safe, refreshed after the break as well and he torched Melbourne in the finals last season. Harmes is trying to match up on him at stoppages, not really working.
