So this is where I'm at, not the best start to the year so think I need to be agressive with trades to make up some ground.

Pre any trades $227,300 ITB:

Short, Ridley, Whitfield, Chapman, Hinge, McCartin (Gibcus, SDK)
Macrae, Neale, Cripps, Jelly, Rowell, JHF, Dacios, Stephens (Ward, Macdonald, Owens)
Gawn, Grundy (Benning)
Dunkley, Butters, Coniglio, Brodie, Xerri, Rachele (McGovern, Durdin)

Structure wise I think its OK, but aside from not having Heeney, the major bleading is coming from D3 and D4, so I'm considering:

McGovern -> Hayes
Chapman -> Ryan
Whitfeild -> Hall

To a degree I have more confidence in Gawn return returning to decent numbers than I do Whitfield.

Hayes is the key to this plan, but Ryder is the risk as I'm not sure how much longer Hayes will last once Ryder is back. I should have just started Hayes in the first place then I would have not been placed in this situation...

Thoughts/Alternatives?

Does no one think SDK will come back in this week? Or is he due to miss another game with concussion. Seen a lot of folk moving him out
I’m wondering the same thing. Is he likely to come back in, especially with Scott’s strange selection strategies. If he does come in is he a slow burn type? I’d be trading him for Hewitt, so there’s guaranteed $ and more points on field if Hewit continues this trajectory.

I started Hall and didn’t start Heeney. Heeney’s roll still isn’t rolled gold Mills like, but a fit Heeney, and I don’t think we’ve seen that for a while, is truly something. I’m buying the second part of this story, suggest you do to. Both top 6 in their line, don’t think you can go wrong.
Mills tagged Danger on the weekend apparently, is the role that good? oh, he scored 147. Make him a full time tagger Horse! or maybe he was a cooler which Hewitt looks to be as well.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what’s a cooler?

Like that plan, on first glance at your side my initial reaction was that improving D3-D4 with you $$ITB was where I’d be focusing my attention. Which backs up your thoughts. Hall in seems a win for me, and not sure how much cash left over but Ryan (or Stewart) as your other DEF in seems great to me.

Almost tempted to not trade ....

Only option i can think of is:
Whitfield for Bowey
Ward for O'Driscoll
Hollands for L.Jackson

I really don't like trading out premiums like Whitfield. If he is out injured thats different.
O'Driscoll looked really good. Can see him getting a lot of games now.
Jackson has gone to another level.

Thoughts?
I think the only trade you need to make is Hollands to a rookie that you might have missed out on

watching AFL 360 tonight, Hardwick said they put a lot of work into negating Whitfield. Will everyone do that? After the way the Tigers went, probably. I have him, and at this stage I’m keeping him.
Dont think it was a lot of work, more the comment was when the game was on the line we focused on him getting the handball out the back.

Whitfield to Hewett - 95% on this one
Berry to Cripps - 85% on this trade

I am convinced Pruess will be a good pick this year. Had to trade him to Hayes last week but keen to get him back in. Probably wont pull the trigger this week but if he is picked and scores 85 plus this week I am thinking of going balls out and trading him in for Grundy (if Grundy doesn't score over 120).
L Whitfield:
Last 3 VS GC: 113 from 3
RD17 2021: 32 SC from 29% TOG
RD9 2020: 148 SC from 87% TOG
RD23 2019: 159 SC from 83% TOG
why do you post these comments when were all set to trade him

Looking forward to the regression to the mean 👍
So, had planned to trade Whitfield as two scores in a row have been disappointing. Is he carrying something?

then he is playing GC. Now, personally, I dont look at these prior scores and put too much weight on them, however, look at the practice game and round 1-2, defenders against GC are posting big scores. SDK, Foley, Bowey etc.

Just dont know do you hold him one week or not.

a Whitfield/Berry/McGov does buy me Hewett/Martin/Heeney. Bowey over Hewett probably allows a Preuss to come in.

Cheers :cool:

Chapman + cash after the first 2 leaves $585,800 I miss Lloyd by $800, Stewart leaves $100, Crisp leaves $14,800 Ryan leaves $45,500.

The coaches are using this term for a run with player, there to negate them yet not to sacrifice ones game. Aim is to take the edge of a player running hot. was also discussed last last night on AFL 360 by Dimma/Rutten.

Evolution of learning that a hard tag on Neale takes him from 40 possessions to 30, so why go so hard and also need the right player for a tagger role whereas cooler more accountable.

Merrett ws running hot so Berry became the cooler. They noted that he kept Merrett out of a stoppage and Neale stole the tap down and kicked a goal was the vision shown.

So it's sort of a variation on tagger, without completely sacrificing his own game.

whats good about that team?
Butters and Daniher maybe. All those DNP's are a bit of an issue. Start using the money on the bench. I really don't know what to say, but I'm going with my good nature to encourage your friend to use three trades this week to get in Neale, Heeney, and Short. Good luck kid.

Or tell your friend to start again, pick players that are playing and and remember to use Emergencies. :unsure:

I think given the quality of your team you could give him plenty of advice. And if it is a troll, its pretty frowned up around here.
