Well last year we went back to the 90s (Carlton v Nth) and this year we are going back to the 80s as Hawthorn and Essendon will face off in the 2022 SCS One-eyed Club Challenge Grand Final. This is sure to be a line in the sand game with Hawks looking to turn a dominant season into a premiership season and Essendon will looking to a second flag to their trophy cabinet.

In the first preliminary final @Ratzondix led his Hawks to a grand final berth by ranking second in the group and defeating Collingwood by 74 points who were strongly represented by @BC.

It was a closer affair in the other prelim with @Zimmer leading the Bombers to a 13 point victory over the giant killing Saints who came up just short despite the best efforts of @Harmonic Nine.

The top scorer from the other teams were @Deeman1 (Melbourne 2588), @Killerbees (Port Adelaide 2569), @pj14_ (Sydney 2560), @All is Wells (North Melbourne 2544), @MickyBoi (West Coast 2533), @Fatboy64 (Adelaide 2529), @malbi (Carlton 2527), @arpod (Brisbane 2527), @Spifflicator (GWS 2513), @Rickwood (Richmond 2507), @Mr_Arrogance (Geelong 2487), @Jordan's Jets (Western Bulldogs 2476), @bloke (Fremantle 2476) and @Erich1036 (Gold Coast 2401).

Hawthorn did indeed turn a dominant season into a premiership as they take out the 3rd SCS One Eyed Club Challenge. @Yasi recorded a massive score to come 2nd in the group and charge to a 55 point victory over Essendon who were admirably represented by @Locky27. Hawthorn finished top of the ladder with 15 wins and then were unchallenged during the finals winning the qualifying final by 24, the prelim by 74 and the grand final by 55.

As painful as it is it would be remiss of me not to refer to the following paragraph that appears in my very first post in this thread when I started this comp 3 seasons ago. Well done Hawks supporters you certainly have given me my come-uppance.

If the truth be known this competition has been designed purely to demonstrate that North Melbourne Supporters are the best supercoach
players which unfortunately means the rest of you will just be playing for second. However the good news is that race for second place is really only a race in 16 because I expect Hawthorn will finish somewhere near the bottom and not offer much competition to the other clubs.

Honour Role
2020 Essendon
2021 Carlton
2022 Hawthorn

The other club reps in the final round were @Hondo (Adelaide, 2644 and top of the group), @Dustman (Richmond, 2624), @BigRuss (Port Adelaide, 2599), @Trickee (Sydney, 2595), @Russty_ (St Kilda, 2592), @GOAUS! (Western Bulldogs, 2591), @Brettthejett (Collingwood, 2585), @Erich1036 (Gold Coast, 2562), @Burly (North Melbourne, 2553), @T-Rex (Brisbane, 2552), @Enderling (Geelong, 2514), @Slammer (Carlton, 2502), @Spifflicator (GWS, 2502) and @bloke (Fremantle, 2495)

Nice to bring it home for us Hawks supporters. Teamwork over individual glory. Thanks @Beg2Differ.
