You mean the Sheffield manager was angry at his own team and GK? He had half time to tell them to stop doing it but it got clearly worse after that. Not sure bigger clubs get the rub of the green. In what way? In this case Sheffield created the extra time via their own tactics. Even only 3 min at half time was a little surprising. Thought that could have been more. After the second Spurs goal Maddison did the "cramp" tactics and Ange was on the sideline telling him no and waving his hands saying get up get up.
The time-wasting is a much used tactic over the years, especially by (a) the leading side or (b) the lower ranked team. In this case it was both... but prior to this season, it was more or less ignored by the ref in terms of time added on. So agree they created the extra time, the inference would've been however that the ref added on too much (12 minutes is a huge number) to give the "Big Team" more time to come back.
Big clubs get the rub of the green all the time through dubious decision making from the ref or from the VAR. 2 examples from this year:
1) Man City awarded a goal when Akanji was in a clear off-side position a couple of weeks ago, but he was deemed "not interfering with play" when it was clear the goalkeeper was impacted = VAR looked at it. Even Haaland after the game said the opposition should be furious the goal stood
2) United's keeper Onana taking out an opposition player during a crossed ball situation... VAR looked at at = no penalty.
As soon as there is an interpretation it usually goes the way of the big club.
