I don't mind it, they probably did better than me, lols. But they do need a R/F. Glad they didn't go with 2 rucks though. I also chose a 7th defender.

Sicily, Andrews, Stewart
Houston, Moore, Sinclair
N.Daicos, Bont (C), Gulden
Petracca, Curnow, Greene
Cameron, Larkey, Jackson (R/F)
English, Libba, Merrett

Bench: Dawson, Serong, Butters, Ryan.
Sub: Green

(Emg: Marshall, Bruest, Neale)

Out: Wilkie, J Daicos, Tex, and Rozee.

I hate that I have to Daniher in as R/F. The best teams run a dominant ruck, so unless someone can help out with alternate, I'm stuck with the missed shot of the year in my AA team, somwthing which should rule a player out. (Marshall played ruck not forward, so he loses out altogether to English). Edit: Welcome Jackson

Thoughts?
Who has been the best sub of the season.
Maybe Ed could get in with Charlie 😃
Fyfe was a pretty handy sub. Ring, ring.... ring, ring... is that you 2014? Oh, you want your All Australian player back?

Weitering had a really excellent second half of the season but was woefully out of form for the first two months. Not sure if you can select him with only half a good season.

The R/F you want is Luke Jackson. Most coaches votes for any, ruck or forward. I'd have him in instead of Larkey (or Tex) from the original team if going a R/F. 58 votes with the only players ahead of him as mids.

Agreed. It's the same reason they didn't pick Taranto. Definitely annoying when there is some recency bias (I.E. doesn't matter how bad your start to the season is if you finish strongly versus doesn't matter how good your first 13 games were if you start to fall off).

Ignore my name and I am an objective person.

Pretty good team but if I had to make any changes. Sinclair or Houston out (pretty even, either would be stiff) with Nick Daicos going to half back where he played majority of his footy this year and was better than both in the position. Dawson on field in the middle with Libba coming onto the bench. Serong out for Dusty (maybe bias but his numbers as a forward this year speak for themselves, only knock is maybe just didn't kick enough goals, 3 midfielders on the bench is too many)

Agreed his second half was what I remembered!

Yep, you've convinced me. In he comes.

With sub switch I'm about sorted.

I was a bit surprised to see Dusty being mentioned as an omission in a press headline. I feel like he made a late run and wasn’t really in the mix as a popular SC target at any stage (at least until trades had perhaps run out!), which is an imperfect but useful indicator, especially for a player with his SC pedigree.

I had a look at this stats and was surprised. He averaged 24 touches, 1.25 goals, and 6.6 marks and tackles combined (I sometimes combine those two metrics).

Those numbers are within 20% of his 2017 season, in which he broke the record for Brownlow votes and won all the awards.

On that basis I am now struggling to see how he didn’t get a spot!
Dusty honestly had a fantastic year. If Dusty kicked a bit more accurately, and Richmond made finals, Dusty would have been a lock for AA and perhaps even a top 10 Brownlow finish.

Thought the team was okay. Watched a bit of Freo and though Serong's kicking was poor a lot of the time, constantly chose the wrong option out of stoppage and lost 2 games for them when he turned it over at the death. Would have had Libba over him but Serong still had a great season.
