RICHMOND and former North Melbourne Robbie Tarrant has announced his retirement, effectively immediately.

The 34-year-old has played just two VFL games this year due to a chronic hip injury and has called time on his career after 194 games at the top level.

The No.15 pick in the 2007 draft, Tarrant played 174 games for the Kangaroos before moving to the Tigers at the end of the 2021 season.

Really need some clarity on the D Cam timeline prior to the Pies playing on Sat.

Planning on trading Sheezel to Sicily but if D Cam is missing weeks then I'll trade him and hold Sheezel.
Don't worry, we'll get it but it'll say short-term injury (which turns out to be 3+ weeks) and it'll happen after both games have already been played.

It looks like to me that Darcy Cameron was caught skipping some of his training and the Pies Coach, McRae, has just seen the video, so had no choice but to drop him this weekend for disciplinary reasons.
The prime suspect, taking and leaking this video, would be a Carlton Supporter who also posted it in this Thread.
Cameron might have gotten away with it in his PE Classes at College, but not these days with so many mobile phones around. ;)

COLLINGWOOD will face Fremantle without No.1 ruckman Darcy Cameron on Saturday, but the Magpies will regain Steele Sidebottom, Brayden Maynard and Dan McStay at the MCG.

Cameron failed a fitness test at Gosch's Paddock on Thursday morning after reporting a back issue following the 12-point win over the Western Bulldogs last Friday night.

Darcy won't play," Collingwood coach Craig McRae said on Thursday.

"Unfortunately, after the game he had a bit of a stiff back. He trained early in the week and we were hoping he would progress, but he didn't get much progression on Tuesday.

"We thought we'd go again today and he's not going to be right. He won't play this week. He just couldn't get himself going."
