Only problem with Cairns is tough fixtures over the next 2 doubles and question marks over minutes with Armstrong back and Groves foul trouble
Do previous games fouls carry forward (i.e can you only accumulate so many over a certain amount of games)? I thought you just started from 0 fouls every game and Groves fouls in rnd 2 would have absolutely no impact on him going forward? Or do you just mean he is showing a tendency to pick up fouls and that is what is concerning?

Fouls don’t carry over.

YG is saying it’s hard to gauge what the minutes split will be like for Cairns when Armstrong is back and when Groves can play a high amount of minutes when he’s not in foul trouble.

Magnay a definite in for me. Only one you can feasibly hold for rd5 and unless he stinks up next three games he may get out of reach (assuming you also want Doyle and PJC that round).
Magnay is also an in for me. Round 5 doubles are only NZ and JJ’s. Nobody is going to be carrying NZ players through their byes, so you will need 2 JJ’s ahead of round 4 and use three trades to have a full field of doubles for round 5.
Magnay will go up in price, so getting him now makes sense

Having a look at @Beg2Differ's great post about last year's winner, and @Connoisseur 's post about his season coming 20th, and both used all boosts within the first five rounds or so. Makes intuitive sense to me as cash-making momentum seems so valuable, but someone else mentioned the value of holding a boost for final rounds, presumably as players get rested/injured then? What are people's general thoughts about use of boosts this year after going through the full season last year? (Sorry if this has been covered earlier and I missed it)

A)Shea Illi Or Walton. Given the fixture, the price decrease of both players not making BE this week, if you had to trade one which one would it be..

B) in terms of priorities for trades, getting Montez, Magnay, Rob Edwards/Antonio which two would you consider most important to bring in this week given the fixtures of the upcoming rounds…

Illi has 2 games, I'd trade Walton.
I rank Magnay, Montrez, Edwards in that order. Not sure about Antonio's minutes if Armstrong and Makoi return.

Scored 428 last week. This week I think I'll use my first boost as I'm pretty keen on getting Magnay, Davis and Harrell in but not sure on my trade outs. Can either go Days, Ili and Oliver or Days, Adams and Olbrich. Currently leaning towards the first lot of outs, as I'd probably rather have Adams over Oliver for next week, Olbrich still might have some money to make and Ili has only had one good game out of 3.

In : Magnay, Harrell, Antonio
Out : Days, Olbrich, Ili

Magnay is an easy decision as without Lee this year he should score consistently higher.
I keep switching between Harrell and Waardenberg as the only way I can afford Harrell is to bring in Antonio. Also Loe or Olbrich out is questionable.

I am mindful of last year as I recall pinpointing a team I liked (top 2?) and they seemed to bring players in a week earlier. Eventually I didn’t have enough money to do as I wanted, mainly because player prices had gone up.
With Adam’s, Cotton and PJC going big regularly, having two of them as guards weeks 6 through 11 seems ideal so money would be good. But I have Antonio, Pepper and Henshall so I can’t see how that’s going to happen.
As for week 4, I’m thinking Pepper to Armstrong and Deli to Doyle should allow a boost for 3 nzb week 5. Money is looking scarce so Waardenberg would help.
My question to ponder is Harrell or Waardenberg?

In the same boat and I'm going Harrell, even though it makes my trade options worse elsewhere. Don't fancy going a double-DGW without him, particularly if the minutes restriction eases.

I am liking Cairns over Adelaide due to their RD6 dbl.

With Armstrong coming back will Rob Edwards minutes be affected much?
This has me considering bringing in Doyle over a Cairn's GRD this week. Still get the double this week, prepares for the weak week 5 and allows us to have a better look at the Cairns guys this week to grab one next week?

It's a possibility, I'd have to bring in Mayen and leave out Magnay though.
Then only be able to afford Armstrong.
That's keeping Adams too though.

I'm not sure if I'm meant to get as much points as possible or cash as possible o_O

I can still make it work with bringing in Magnay which has me keen, but if I couldn't I would prioritise Magnay over Doyle I think.

345 DWJ
Yuck. Down 2952 spots from 562nd to 3514th. 82 point swing choosing DWJ as a trade in (and captain) over Adams. Also a 45k swing which means I cannot afford DWJ and Days to Cotton and Harrell now. Only needed a 19 in his last game to afford it but he dished up a 6 pointer. Ili terrible too. A few others didn’t perform as hoped either. Going to spend a bit of time tomorrow going through scenario. Will probably end up boosting.

My main takeaway from last season was I focused too much on squeezing in as many DGR players opposed to cash generation. I was 200k+ less in team value to the coaches around me and some luck in decision making meant I didn’t drop too far.
Usually cash generation in other formats is one of my strengths so hopefully it won’t be too difficult.

In saying that, it means I’ll probably let Harrell go as much as I really like him. Waardenburg with his 50 last round and back-to-back DGRs to come probably gets in and I’d love to grab Magnay if I can. If he can get a minutes boost compared to last season, which looks likely, he will be a double double machine. Will be in excess of 400k in no time.
